#CCPS Cornwall Community Police Blotter for Wednesday July 18, 2018

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Rebecca Dillabaugh, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on July 27th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on June 18th, 2018 for a drug offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On July 17th, 2018 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND FOR PRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Nicholas McCarthy, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on July 17th, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to attend for prints. It is alleged the man failed to attend for prints on July 11th, 2018 and an investigation ensued. On July 17th, 2018 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT, THEFT

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 17th, 2018 and charged with assault and theft under $5000. It is alleged during an argument on July 17th, 2018 the man assaulted his common-law wife and took her cell phone. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Timothy Lassard, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on July 17th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on July 17th, 2018 the man attended a store on Second Street East and removed property making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. The man was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted to investigate. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 2nd, 2018.
