Now this looks like a fun event.
The 2009 edition of the Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry Federal NDP Riding Association’s Tommy Douglas Dinner will be held on Thursday, April 30th.
This year it’s at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club, Highway Two East, just past the city limits on the way to Glen Walter. In attendance as guest speaker will be Paul Dewar, MP for Ottawa Centre and the NDP’s Foreign Affairs critic.
Cocktails will be served at 6:00 pm and the dinner agenda will begin at 7:00 pm. Admission is $100.00, which includes a political contribution receipt for that amount minus the cost of the meal. (Your choice of Chicken Kiev or a vegetarian alternative.) Tables for eight are available.
Don’t forget that Elections Canada provisions entitle you to generous tax credits for this and similar political donations. The scale goes like this:
– A 75% credit for donations up to $400
– A 50% credit for donations between $401 and $750
