Lindsey Fair will be giving two workshops at the ARTpreneur Conference at The Ramada Inn & Conference Centre on November 5.
The first will be on how to host an art event, but the second will be on Blogging for Artists which seems to be quite the challenge for many. “It’s not about writing what you had for lunch.” she shared as we chatted about her workshops.
“The difference many times to someone purchasing something off of the shelf from a box store and someone buying a piece of art is the human connection between the buyer and the artist. People want a “story” behind the piece many times and that’s where Blogging as a tool can expand that bridge.”
She’s also a huge believer in networking whether it be by blog, twitter, facebook, or any tool that can help.
A Metalsmith by trade; she loves Beach Glass and has created a whole studio of pieces built around the bits and pieces she’s collected or that friends and family send to her. Some of her work can be seen in her Etsy store.
