RACING LAW INFRACTIONS
SD&G OPP officers have stopped and charged 2 drivers with speeding more than 50km/h over the posted limit. In all cases, the drivers had their driving privileges suspended for 7 days and the vehicle impounded for the same time period (Racing Law-Section 172, Highway Traffic Act). .
- 28 Nov 09 (11:52 am), SD&G OPP stopped an eastbound 2008 Hyundai Accent on Highway 417, North Glengarry Township …164km/h (posted 100km/h zone). 23 yr old female driver from Cowansville, Quebec was charged.
- 29 Nov 09 ( 3:37 pm), SD&G OPP stopped an eastbound 2007 GMC Acadia on Highway 401, South Dundas Township …157km/h (posted 100km/h zone). 36 yr old female driver from Dundas On was charged.
