Cornwall Ontario – Art Court is coming to the Cornwallfreenews. Hurrah!

What a great opportunity for our visual artists, writers, musicians, dancers – giving them exposure in this dynamic on-line newspaper, that has a quickly increasing readership.
The newspaper’s esteemed Editor, Jamie Gilcig, recently made a presentation to Focus Art – a group of local artists that is now celebrating its 5th year.
He explained the concept and how to go about becoming involved. “Art Court is about promoting area artists of all mediums with as few strings as possible. You can have a facebook page, but the real challenge is getting exposure to your work, and we want to share the traffic the community is helping us build on The Cornwall Free News and give back.
Thanks to the sponsors of the program which we’ll be announcing shortly, we will be able to share that traffic for a nominal rate and help promote and grow the Arts and Cultural community of our area.”
At this time, $10.00 per year will put your name and an image (business card size) into the Art Court Virtual Gallery as well as provide links to your web sites, facebook and/or blog sites. There will also be a virtual gallery of artists that are to be profiled either once or twice per month.
Lorna Foreman will profile the artists which would be part of the general newspaper. She’s a writer, artist, and has been a journalist for 10 years writing on the arts. She recently released a book of columns she’s written over the years for 55+ Magazine. “When Life Becomes Real”
February 2010 is the launch date for Art Court so anyone interested please contact the newspaper (info@cornwallfreenews.com) for further information.
Let’s make sure we promote the amazing talent in our region!
