Keep Your Head Up, Kid: The Don Cherry Story – 4 Hour Movie starts March 29 on CBC

Cornwall ON – You know it’d happen one day and now it’s time!    CBC is releasing a Don Cherry Bio-Pic on television viewers this weekend!

The irascible long time hockey personality and coach has been keeping drapery makers Clothiers for years.

While probably never going into the Hall of Fame for writing or even entertainment this movie will be a must watch for Cherry fans or people contained in their living spaces with basic cable.

The film tells of Cherry’s long, persistent journey through the minor leagues. In a 20-year career, he played one NHL game with the Boston Bruins in 1955. Through it all, Rose stood by his side.

“If she hadn’t of stuck with me, what would I have done? Not once did she ever complain. Not once,” he said. “That means a lot to a guy that can’t make the National Hockey League.”

GREAT. I look forward to this series. I often don’t agree with him, but I do like to hear what he has to say and how he says it. He is a Canadian icon.
