Cornwall ON – Hmm….geez I hate writing pieces like this. It’s just not Canadian. I mean stating the obvious is so freakin’ easy.
Most likely a corrupt coke snortin’ lazy azzed politician’s career goes down the crapper. Abandoned by his own party he tries to lean on his wife’s good office and former connections to work the system. No wonder the Harper government is trying to distance itself from Mr. Jaffer and the equally repugnant Ms Guergis.
It’s just too easy. I won’t start sticking knives into these two stiffs as pretty much anyone that follows Canadian politics and this circus has the 411 on this, but my question is simply this. Do you think Canadians buy any of the spin on this story? Does any rational human believe that Mr. Jaffer didn’t use his and his wife’s position to somehow benefit?
I personally have a hunch that the government’s known about Mr. Jaffer’s antics for quite a long time. The question is now that we all know that the Conservatives really are no better on crime than the Liberals that they so love to point fingers at, what’s to be said, thought, or done?
At the end of the day isn’t this just another reason why if an election were held “OTHER” could possibly be elected to office in many ridings?
I’ve read a lot of crap about both of these two and the impact it’s having on their party and Canadian politics. Perhaps they should include more courses in candidate training on how to not get caught?
What do you think Canada? You can post your comments below.

What surprises me is how quiet the Toronto police force has been since charging, and then releasing this thug. They are basically being called liars. To me, maybe the Toronto cop planted the cocaine on him.
I wonder if King Stephen has put a muzzle on the Toronto force.
Willie apparently it was the OPP which picked up Mr. Jaffer. I printed a story about the Union not being terribly happy with being targeted as the potential cause of the wrist slapping.
Oh, and shouldn’t it be “Where there’s COKE there’s Jaffer… and the little woman.??” lol.. was just looking at that today. 😀
Looks like the careers of these two have hit the wall. Don’t to worry for them too much. They both have been making really good money for quite some time, and when they turn fifty-five, they will be collecting pensions that most of us can only dream of. Jaffer will have to pay for his own cab rides in Ottawa, and can’t work out of his wife’s parliamentary office, but he’ll continue to live well. Guergis is a beauty queen from a well-to-do family, and I’m sure she will have many business options in the near future. It is good to know that we aren’t paying for their chauffeurs anymore.
Those chauffeurs are still being paid even if they’re not driving them around.
