Halak Shallacked 6-0 in Game 1 Loss to Flyers – Hawks Bite Sharks 2-1 in Game 1 Win – Cornwall Ontario – May 17, 2010

Cornwall ON – Michael Leighton earned a shut out in the Flyers game 1 6-0 victory to open their series with the Montreal Canadiens.    Carey Price relieved the Habs star goalie, but at the end of the day the Flyers used their size to pound Montreal in game one.

Time to reload for game two and perhaps for coach Martin to reshuffle the deck as tonight’s recipe fell flat, especially in the third period.

NHL SCORES

Joe Thornton better get his game in gear if the Sharks are to have any chance vs the Hawks in their series.   The Yogurt King was held to 1 shot in San Jose’s 2-1 game one loss to Chicago.  The Sharks out shot Chicago 45-40 with some real fire wagon hockey played in the 3rd period.

What do you think Canada?  Can the Habs come back?  Is it going to be a Flyer’s/Hawks final?

Hopefully it was just an off day for Halak. At present, the Habs are our only chance at keeping the Stanley Cup here in Canada. Go Habs Go.
