Cornwall ON – Comedy Legend John Cleese of Monty Python fame is going on tour. The funnyman, now living in California apparently has to cover his very expensive divorce, and is hitting the road!
The 70-year-old funnyman will do eight shows on his Alimony Tour and is planning to use the £12.2million he was forced to settle on his American psychotherapist third wife Alyce Faye Eichelberger in 2008 as a source of new jokes.
Good god, married a psychotherapist….and wondered how he ended up getting…..Mr. Cleese will only be touring in the UK. It’d be amazing if he had a few dates on this side of the ocean.

You don’t see people the calibre of John Cleese often anymore. I’d love to see him again. My most favourite memory of him was when he played Basil Fawlty in “The Germans”…..it was hilarious!
You are WAY behind the eight ball dude…John Cleese already brought his “alimony tour” to Canada…last year right about this time, maybe it was July…he played Massey Hall in Toronto. Very funny man, along with all the other Pythons.
I heard him being interviewed on CBC Q last summer. The man is brilliant, as well as funny as hell. You can listen to the interview here. http://www.cbc.ca/q/episodes/#
Scroll down to July 16th 2009.
Fawlty Towers will go down as one of the most amazing comedy series ever created. The writing is insane. The performance legendary, and the behind the scenes mayhem right over the edge. I believe Mr. Cleese suffered a breakdown as he was going through relationship hell with his wife and co-star at the time, Connie Booth.
