  1. watch all the old farts and retired teachers there in supprot of the man having done nothing for eastern Ontario save for some private member bills.

Private member bills that would serve not the constituents but people having long since died. The people who fought and worked for a better tomorrow. One that Jim and his boss seem to have taken for granted and abused their gift.

  2. Why such a misery, smee? And why is your evidence so threadbare?

  3. Well, I’m not an old fart (at least as far as I know. Exactly what age does one have to be to be considered old? My children would probably say I’m old but it would probably offend someone older than I to say that I’m old.) I’m also not a retired teacher and I would like to be there. I guess I don’t mind Jim or his boss as much as I loathe the previous government that was in power.

  4. Standup, that’s OK just keep opening up your wallet, and expect to give us some of that money too. I know of a hell of a lot of people having a hard time making ends meet.
LETS JUST KEEP SPENDING! WHY NOT?

  5. Well, the alternative I guess…is to just cut spending on everything but the MPP’s salary. Things that aren’t really necessary you know? Like health care, education, water testing (Remember Walkerton? I bet they do.) Yeah it sucks to pay taxes but until the current government starts attacking essential services I’ll stick with the current plan.

Me too Standup, and just a note that this is a rain or shine event under the big tent! We’ll be covering the event live.

  7. It is interesting to see local people from all political affiliations come out to celebrate our area and MPP Jim Brownell.
The facts are that Jim has and continues to do so much for our riding that it brings us together in celebration this afternoon.
I look forward to chatting with all of you.
