DRIVE WHILE DISQUALIFIED
Cornwall, Ont. – Bradley Barry Legue, 25, of Cornwall was arrested during a routine traffic stop on the 22nd of September, 2010. It is alleged that he operated a motor vehicle while being disqualified from driving. He was arrested and released to appear in court on the 10thof November, 2010 to answer to the charge.
BREACHES
Cornwall, Ont. – A 26 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 23rd of September, 2010 for breaching his conditions on the 24th of June. He was bound by a Recognizance Order with several conditions. One of the imposed conditions was to not associate with a specific female or attend her residence. He was further bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the offence date, he was at the female’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. He faces 1 count each of Breach of Recognizance and Breach of Probation. He was held in custody until court later that date. His name is not being released as it may identity the female in this incident.
ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM and ASSAULT
Cornwall, Ont. – An 18 year-old Cornwall female turned herself into police on the 23rd of September, 2010. It is alleged that on the 20th of September, 2010 she had an argument with her 22 year-old boyfriend at which time she punched him and then bit him. It is further alleged that she struck his nose causing injury. The male received medical attention for his injuries and was released. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. She faces 2 counts of Assault Causing Bodily Harm and 1 count of Assault. She was held in custody and attended court later that day. Her name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
THEFT UNDER $5,000.00 and BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. – Jesse James Dufresne, 19, of Cornwall was arrested on the 23rd of September, 2010 following a shoplifting incident. He was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on that date, he entered a Second Street East department store and stole merchandise. He was detained by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer until the arrival of a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He faces 1 count of Theft Under $5,000.00 and 1 count of Breach of Probation. He was released to appear in court on the 02nd of November, 2010 to answer to the charges.
THEFT UNDER $5,000.00
Cornwall, Ont. – A 16 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 23rd of September, 2010 following a shoplifting incident. It is alleged that he entered a 9th Street East grocery stole and stole merchandise. He was detained by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer until the arrival of a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He faces 1 count of Theft Under $5,000.00 and released to the custody of a parent. He is scheduled to appear in court on the 28th of October, 2010 to answer to the charge. His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, Ont. – A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 23rd of September, 2010 following a disturbance at a secondary school. The female was bound by an Undertaking and Probation Order with the same condition: To Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that she engaged in a fight with another female. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. Police were contacted and the youth was arrested for 1 count of Assault and 1 count each of Breach of Undertaking and Breach of Probation. She was released to appear in court on the 28th of October, 2010 to answer to the charges. Her name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREACH OF UNDERTAKING
Cornwall, Ont. – A 24 year-old St-Andrews West woman was arrested on the 23rd of September, 2010 for breaching her conditions. She was bound by an Undertaking Order with conditions to Abstain from communicating directly or indirectly with a specific male and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. On the 21st of September, it is alleged that she attempted to make contact him while he was working. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. She was arrested by the O.P.P. and turned over to the Cornwall Community Police Service. She faces 1 count of Breach of Undertaking. Her name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred at a commercial location in the 800 block of Sydney Street overnight on the 23rd of September, 2010. The suspect(s) gained entry by smashing the glass front door. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole money. Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between 04:30 pm and 07:00 pm on the 21st of September, 2010 in the 300 block of Carleton Street. The suspect(s) gained entry into the residence by an unlocked rear entrance door. The suspect(s) stole a Silver Toshiba laptop.
