Cornwall ON – If only The Habs could play the Islanders every game of the season….the results would be similar to last nights 7-2 wrap up to the pre-season. Carey Price got the win and all the people you want scoring for Montreal registered.
Now it’s show time with the season opening on Thursday against the Leafs in Toronto.
Speaking of the Maple Leafs; they doubled Detroit 4-2 with Phil Kessel notching 3 assists.
The Ottawa Senators put on a light show it to the NY Rangers 8-5 after putting it into high gear in the 3rd period with 4 goals. Chris Campoli was +4 for the night and somehow Mike Fisher and Alex Kovalev didn’t register a point.
In other NHL scores; LA edged Colorado 3-2; Jaroslav Halak and the Blues picked up the W in a 4-3 OT win over Dallas; Tampa Bay won the battle of Florida 4-1 over the Panthers; the Islanders other squad edged the Devils 2-1; Columbus edged Atlanta 4-3; and in two International games the Boston Bruins beat Belfast Ireland 5-1, and San Jose needed the shoot out to beat Mannheim 3-2.
