Cornwall ON – Matt Cain put the San Francisco Giants two games away from their first World Series win since 1954.
They say pitching and defense win World Series and it looks like the San Francisco Giants are proving just that with a team that’s very different than the Barry Bonds era teams the put on the field.
He gave up 4 hits in 7 2/3 innings of work while striking out 2 and walking 2 in the 9-0 win against the Texas Rangers who are in the World Series for the first time in franchise history.
Edgar Renteria hit a home run for the Giants.
The series heads to Texas where they’ll be hosting their first ever World Series game.
So baseball fans, can Texas make this a series? You can post your comments below.
If it was Nolan Ryan pitching still for the Texas Rangers, the Giants would have probably left crying.. lol.. 😉
