Alexandria ON – On November 20th, 2010, SD&G OPP, with the assistant of the Detachment’s Auxiliary Unit, took part in a joint effort activity for the National Day of the Child at Le Relais High School in Alexandria.
Several agencies provided a variety of displays and activities focused on children. SD&G OPP provided a “Child Identification” booth, where informational kits (sponsored by the Alexandria Lions Club), were completed and given to parents. The importance of keeping current particulars on their children was discussed. Children were also given OPP keepsakes to take home with them.
Over 100 children attended the event, which was deemed a success!
