Niagara Falls ON – As you know, the Canadian Veterans Advocacy has implemented a national Pennies for Veterans campaign in order to raise money for homeless veterans support facilities in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Montréal, Québec. Jim Lowther, John Percy, and Gary Zwicker have been heading the Halifax mission and have created a local organization, VETS, in order to coordinate their efforts and assist veterans in the transition.
.
This is the effort the CVA will be supporting in Halifax. Jim, John and Gary have certainly taken the lead in efforts to raise awareness on a local level and will be joining with the ninth annual homeless Marathon, a radiothon effort to draw awareness to this serious problem. I would encourage veterans nationwide to support them throughout this evening as they endeavor to draw attention to this very important subject.
Please! This is very important and I would encourage everybody within listening/internet range to participate and support this noble project.
Start Saving Your Pennies! I expect to have a national charity on board by the end of next week, after which we will I approach a major bank to be a partner in the collection and distribution of these funds.
