Habs Keep Stamkos & Lecavlier off scoresheet in 3-2 win – Leafs Shut Out – Ottawa Beats Devils 3-1 – NHL Scores – March 18, 2011 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – Roman Hamrlik manned nearly 30 Minutes of ice time tonight as the Montreal Canadiens defeated Tampa Bay 3-2 in their shoot out victory.

Andrei Kostitsyn notched a goal as well as Captain Brian Gionta and sniper Mike Cammallieri in the shoot out, but it was Hamrlik carrying the burden on D that helped Carey Price pick up the W in nets.

While Scott Gomez was pointless he did take 5 shots and the more I see Ryan White play the more I like him.  It makes you wonder how Montreal would have done this season with Mr. White up earlier?  Paul Mara also is making his presence felt and shown that perhaps the team should’ve kept him last year?

Keeping both Stamkos and Lecavalier off the score board without Tomas Plekanec in the line up is something that Coach Martin’s team should be very very proud of!

In other NHL scores Atlanta beat Philly 4-3;   Detroit shut out Columbus 2-0; Chris Neil scored 2 goals as Ottawa beat the Devils 3-1; Toronto was blanked by the Panthers 4-0; Dallas shut out Chicago 5-0, and Nashville edged the Bruins 4-3 .

As of press time Calgary was up 5-1 on Colorado; Phoenix was ahead of Edmonton 2-1; Minnesota and SJ were tied at 1, and St. Louis and LA were scoreless.
