Cornwall ON – Wind Storms lashed Eastern Ontario Thursday April 28th. Power shortages were everywhere, roads were closed, and today Schools have been closed in many parts of the Province as crews work to restore power.
Here in Cornwall Ontario a traffic light actually blew away and driving on the 417 yesterday was entertaining as large debris was flying across the highway at times and tall trees were swaying; some as much as 30 to 40 feet!
The storms have been attributed to the end of Federal election last push as politicians across the area blow much hot air causing a temperature inversion. You can email us your storm pictures or videos to info@cornwallfreenews.com or call our hotline at 613 361 1755.
