Cornwall ON – Here is your police blotter for the Cornwall Ontario area for Thursday August 18, 2011.
THREATS
Cornwall, ON- George Robert Vilneff, 60 of Cornwall was arrested on the 17th of August, 2011. It is alleged that on the 16th of August, 2011 he threaten a co-worker. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Utter death threat and released to appear in court on the 6th of September, 2011.
BREACH OF UNDERTAKING
Cornwall, ON- Richard Denis Ricard, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on the 17th of August, 2011. He was bound by an Undertaking with the relevant conditionsto not operate a motor vehicle or motorcycle unless in possession of a valid Driver’s License and Keep the Peace & be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 8th of August, 2011 shortly prior to 9:00 a.m. he was observed by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division operating a motor vehicle. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking and released to appear in court on the 6th of September, 2011.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Laura St-Louis, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on the 17th of August, 2011 under the strength of two outstanding warrants. She was bound by an Undertaking with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that she failed to attended court on the 28th of July, 2011 and on the 2nd of August, 2011 at which time bench warrants were sought. She was located and charged with 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking and 2 counts of Fail to attend court. She was released to appear in court on the 6th of September, 2011 to answer to the charges.
THEFT UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON- Amy O’Connell, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on the 17th of August, 2011 following a shoptheft incident. It is alleged that she attended a Ninth Street store and stole merchandise. She was arrested by the store’s Lost Prevention Officer and detained until the arrival of a member of the Cornwall Community Police Patrol Division. She was charged with Theft Under $5000.00 and is scheduled to attend court on the 27th of September, 2011.
THEFT, MISCHIEF & BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, ON- Christian Claude Seguin, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on the 17th of August, 2011 following a shoptheft incident. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 15th of August, 2011 he was captured on video surveillance at a Brookdale Avenue store, stealing merchandise and pouring a soft drink in a bin containing product. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with theft Under $5000.00, Mischief Under $5000.00 and Breach of Probation. He was released to appear in court on the 6th of September, 2011.
BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, ON- Daniel Quigley, 25 of Cornwall was arrested on the 18th of August, 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the relevant conditions not to associate or communicate directly or indirectly with a certain person, not to be away from my residence except as follows: for work purposes or to attend AA counseling and abstain from the consumption of alcohol absolutely or being found any place where alcohol is sold, save restaurants. It is alleged that on the 18thof August, 2011 he was observed by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to be with the said person, had consumed alcohol and was away from his residence. He was charged with 3 counts of Breach of Recognizance and released to appear in court on the 6th of September, 2011.
BREAK & ENTER
Cornwall, ON – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between the 12th of August, 2011 and the 16th of August, 2011at a Guy Street residence. The suspect(s) were believed to have gained entry by popping out the front door screen and proceeded to steal a Pringle container with money in it. INVITATION TO SEXUAL TOUCHING
Cornwall, ON- On the 17th of August, 2011 a Cornwall man was arrested for Invitation to Sexual touching on two youths following an investigation by the Cornwall Community Police Service’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Division. The offence is alleged to have occurred on the 13th of August, 2011 when he approached two female youths and invited them to have sex.
Louis Tawehalate Mitchell, 59 of Cornwall was charged with Invitation of Sexual Touching and released to appear in court on the 6th of September, 2011.

CHARGES LAID
(North Glengarry) – As a result of a sexual assault investigation conducted by the SD&G OPP, a male resident of North Glengarry Township was arrested on Wednesday, 17Aug11.
The 33yr old male resident of North Glengarry Township faces charges of:
- Sexual Assault x3
- Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Assault
The above charges are in relation to a number of sexual assaults on a female.
He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
FAMILY DISPUTE
(South Glengarry) – On 17Aug11, at approximately 9:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a family dispute on Page Drive, South Glengarry Township.
The investigation revealed that a 43yr old female was under the influence of alcohol and causing a disturbance at a residence.
She was arrested and faces charges of:
- Breach of Probation Order x3
- Possession Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana
She is scheduled to appear 12Oct11 in Alexandria court.
DOMESTIC INCIDENT
(South Stormont) – On 17Aug11, at approximately 6:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Bethune Ave, Long Sault On.
The investigation revealed that a male and his 16yr old girl friend were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the female assaulting the male.
She was arrested and faces charges of:
- Assault
- Mischief Under $5,000
She is scheduled to appear 06Sept11 in Cornwall court.
