Williamstown ON– It is time, once again, for the Nor’Westers and Loyalist Museum to hold the Annual Wine and Cheese Fundraiser on Wednesday, August 24th, at 7 pm.This is the organization’s most anticipated event of the summer program and it plays a crucial role in fundraising efforts. The Fundraising Committee has planned a delightful offering of wines, Beau’s Beer and cheeses and meats, many of them products of our own local businesses.
Volunteers and staff have been working hard all summer and hope that friends and neighbours will join them to catch up on news and support the Museum’s continued efforts in the community. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at the Museum beforehand or at the event.
This year’s very special exhibit, “Swords into Ploughshares”, Glengarry’s Military and Agricultural Heritage Revisited is on display. This exhibit is made possible by a Canadian Heritage Grant from the Government of Canada and is curated and displayed in keeping with the 200th anniversaries of the Williamstown Fair and regiments who fought in the War of 1812.
