POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 10th of November, 2011. It is alleged that on the 22nd of October, 2011 property, which was reported stolen on the 28th of September, 2011 was recovered. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with possession of stolen property and released to an adult to attend court on the 8th of December, 2011. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 16 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 10th of November, 2011. It is alleged that on the 1st of November, 2011 the youth assaulted her

18 year-old cousin. The victim suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with assault and released to an adult to appear in court on the 8th of December, 2011. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

BREACHES

 

Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 10th of November, 2011. The youth was bound by a Youth Probation with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, as well as abide by 9pm curfew. It is alleged that on the 10th of November, 2011 the youth left the residence without permission and failed to return by curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with 2 counts of breach of probation and released to an adult to appear in court on the 8th of December, 2011. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

Cornwall, ON- A 18 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 14th of November, 2011. He was bound by an undertaking with the condition to not be away from residence between the hours of 9PM and 6AM as well as to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 14th of November, 2011 shortly 2:30 a.m. he was located away from his residence and police were contacted. He was charged with 2 counts of breach of undertaking and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

OVER .08 & RESIST ARREST

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Ingleside youth was arrested shortly after 10:00 p.m. on the 11th of November, 2011. It is alleged that the youth was operating a motor vehicle on St. Felix Street while under the influence of alcohol. Further testing resulted in a charge if over .80. Upon his arrest, he refused to comply with the police officer’s request and resisted. The youth was charged with over .08 and resist arrest. The youth was released to appear in court on the 8th of December, 2011 to answer to the charges. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 47 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 11th of November, 2011. It is alleged that he got into an altercation with his 45 year-old girlfriend when he assaulted her and broken items in the residence. He left and later returned and assaulted the victim again. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The man was charged with 2 counts of domestic assault and mischief. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

BREAK & ENTER

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigation a break and enter which between the end of October, 2011 and the 11th of November, 2011 at a Pitt Street garage. MISCHIEF & BREACH OF UNDERTAKING

 

            Cornwall, ON- Jessica Lemieux 22, of Cornwall was arrested on the 12th of November, 2011. She was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good ehavior. It is alleged that on the 11th of November, 2011 she attended a 22 year-old acquaintance’s residence and kicked in a door. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with mischief under $5000.00 and breach of undertaking. She was released to appear in court on the 1st of December, 2011 to answer to the charges.

 

OVER .080.

 

            Cornwall, ON- Alan Robertson, 63 of Massena NY was arrested on the 12th of November, 2011. It is alleged that on the 12th of November, 2011 he reported to the Canadian Port of Entry operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by customs officer and turned over the a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was transported for further testing which resulted in a charged of over .080. He was released to appear in court on the 15th of December, 2011 to answer to the charges.

 

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE AND BREACH OF PROBATION

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 25 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 12th of November, 2011. He was bound by probation orders with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 12th of November, 2011 the man attended his 57 year-old mother’s residence and stolen her motor vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was located and charged with theft of motor vehicle and breach of probation order. He was released to appear in court on the 29th of November, 2011 to answer to the charges. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

 

DRUGS

 

            Cornwall, ON- Paul Lalonde, 42 of Cornwall was arrested on the 12th of November, 2011. It is alleged that on the 12th of November, 2011 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division detected the odour of what was believed to be marijuana while conducting a R.I.D.E program on Montreal Road. The male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and released to appear in court on the 15th of December, 2011.  Police seized approximately 20 grams of what was believed to be marijuana.

 

MISCHIEF & DRUGS

 

            Cornwall, Troy Brisson, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on the 13th of November, 2011. It is alleged that on the 13th of November, 2011 he smashed a car’s window at a local establishment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. He was charged with mischief under $5000.00 and possession of a controlled substance. He was released to appear in court on the 29th of November, 2011.

 

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF & BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 21 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 12th of November, 2011. He was bound by a recognizance with the relevant conditions not to associate or communicate directly or indirectly with certain people or to be within 100 meters of their residence, to be in his residence between the hours of 9 pm to 6 am except with surety or designate. It is alleged that on the 12th of November, 2011 he attended the said address and caused mischief to a motor vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was located at 11:54 p.m. away from his residence, charged with mischief under $5000.00 and 5 counts of breach of recognizance. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.       

 

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 31 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 13th of November, 2011. It is alleged that on the 13th of November, 2011 he got into an altercation with his 29 year-old common-law wife when he damaged property. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with domestic mischief and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

 

THEFT & BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- Members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division arrested 2 males on the 13th of November, 2011. It is alleged that the two male attended an Edythe Street residence and stole property that was located outside. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. Dustin Bedingfeild, 21 of Cornwall was bound by a probation order with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was charged with theft under $5000.00 and breach of probation order. Joshua Seguin, 22 or Cornwall was bound by a probation order and an undertaking both with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was charged with theft under $5000.00, breach of probation order and breach of undertaking. They were both released to appear in court on the 1st of December, 2011 to answer to the charges.

IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES

 

(North Dundas) – On November 12, 2011, at approximately 1:00pm, an SD&G OPP officer had the occasion to stop a vehicle on County Road 1, North Dundas Township. The stop revealed the male driver was under the influence of alcohol. Furthermore, a small quantity of suspected marihuana was seized from the male.

Thomas MCAULEY (51) of South Dundas was arrested and is charged with;

    • Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content
    • Possession of a Controlled Substance

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court on December 06, 2011.

(South Stormont) – On November 12, 2011, at approximately 5:15pm, SD&G OPP officers had the occasion to stop a vehicle while conducting a Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (RIDE) checkstop on County Road 12, South Stormont Township. The stop revealed the male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Harvey TERHORST (46) of Winchester is charged with;

    • Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle
    • Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on November 29, 2011.

(North Stormont) – On November 12, 2011, at approximately 10:15pm, SD&G OPP officers had the occasion to stop a vehicle while conducting a Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (RIDE) checkstop in the Village of Monkland, North Stormont Township. The stop revealed the male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Eric HURTUBISE (37) of North Glengarry is charged with;

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on November 29, 2011.

(North Dundas) – On November 13, 2011, at approximately 12:15am, SD&G OPP officers had the occasion to stop a vehicle on County Road 31, North Dundas Township. The stop revealed the female driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Maryline MOSS (19) of Embrun is charged with;

    • Fail to Provide Breath Sample

She was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court on December 01, 2011.

DOMESTIC DISPUTES

(North Dundas) – On November 11, 2011, at approximately 8:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on John Street, Chesterville. Investigation revealed an altercation between a male and his ex-spouse resulted in the female being assaulted. The male also caused damage within the home.

The 41 year old male (from Metcalfe) was arrested and is charged with;

    • Assault
    • Mischief to Property Under $5000.00

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on November 22, 2011.

(South Dundas) – On November 13, 2011, at approximately 8:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Sweetwater Crescent, South Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that an altercation between a male and his girlfriend resulted in the female being verbally threatened and the male causing a considerable amount of damage within the home.

The 29 year old male (from Wikwemikong ON) was arrested and is charged with;

    • Utter Threats
    • Mischief to Property Over $5000.00

He was held in custody, pending a court appearance (bail) in Cornwall this date (14Nov11).

 

 

THREATS

(South Stormont) – On November 12, 2011, at approximately 12:00pm, SD&G OPP responded to a report of threats made stemming from a business venture between two (2) males. Investigation revealed a verbal altercation between both males resulted in threats being uttered on two separate occasions.

A 58 year old male (from Ottawa) faces charges of;

    • Utter Threats (2 counts)

He is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on December 06, 2011.

(North Glengarry) – On November 13, 2011, at approximately 12:15pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of threats made at a business on Main Street in the Town of Alexandria. Investigation revealed a verbal altercation between two (2) males resulted in threats being uttered.

The 27 year old male (from Alexandria) was arrested and is charged with;

    • Utter Threats
    • Cause Disturbance by Swearing

He was held in custody, pending a court appearance (bail) in Cornwall this date (14Nov11).

DRUDS SEIZED AT RIDE PROGRAM

(North Stormont) – On November 12, 2011, at approximately 8:45pm, SD&G OPP officers had the occasion to stop a vehicle while conducting a Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (RIDE) checkstop on County Road 12, North Stormont Township. The stop resulted in a small amount of suspected marihuana being seized.

Tyler SCHELLENBURG (18) of Moose Creek is charged with;

    • Possession of a Controlled Substance

He is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on December 20, 2011.

 

 

THEFTS

(South Glengarry) – On November 11, 2011, SD&G OPP began an investigation into a report of a theft of a boat motor from a residence on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township. Overnight (10-11Nov11), unknown culprits removed a 15hp Tohatsu outboard motor, grey with white/blue writing.

An investigation continues.

(North Dundas) – On November 11, 2011, at approximately 8:15pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of thefts from motor vehicles from a parking area near the Winchester arena. Investigation revealed two (2) vehicles were entered. Inside, purses were removed.
