Reasons Excuses are easy; marital break up, check, too many 18 hour days, check; Vino therapy (see break up) check, less time more eating out; more bad choices; less veggies…. check. Less exercise; yup. Not enough sleep, oy!
All are excuses, but at 47, and I know a bunch of you out there are around that age; excuses equal people coming up to you asking…. “have you gained weight?”
So I went to a local gym and weighed in today. Ugh. That’s a wake up call. Tonight begins my new regimen; no waiting until morning.
For the next three months I’m just going to get into a walking regimen and change my diet. Stay tuned as I’m going to be sharing my journey with you folks and invite some of you to share yours with everyone out there reading.
Step one will be to cut out late night eating. Cut down on my red meat, cut down on the red wine and alcohol, cut nearly out some of those favorite snacks, and yes, even cut down on my dark chocolate consumption!
I think the key for me is moderation and reachable goals.
I’m hoping to be typing to you on February 22nd; from Spain, that I’ve lost that 40 that I added and am ready to up the ante to stage two of my regaining life program.
I’ll be sharing some info from some experts; some amazing recipes that are great even if you don’t want to lose weight. This isn’t a diet. This is making a choice to live healthier and happier.
Wish me luck, and if you want to participate in this journey email firstname.lastname@example.org
And apologizing in advance to those nasty politicians that will get an extra dose of nasty if they step out too far over the next month or so 😉
