Running the Sahara Fund Raiser In Cornwall Ontario – December 14th – 6:30 PM

CFN – This is nothing short of amazing and will certainly put you in the holiday spirit.
.
I am hoping that you will help me encourage and empower two amazing young teens from Cornwall.  These two young men, Sam and Cody Chambré, raise money to drill wells in Africa.  This means healthy children and families.  Already they have drilled a well in the Sudan to provide safe water to a village.  They are now working to provide safe drinking water to a village in Malawi.
.
Pretty impressive story, even more so since the boys are not really teenagers yet.  This all came about because of the stories their Dad told them after returning from a military mission in the Sudan.Sam and Cody have organized an inspiring fundraising event for the 14th of December 2011, to be held at the General Vanier Intermediate School, 1500 Cumberland St. Cornwall starting at 6:30pm.  Motivational speaker, Ray Zahab will be on-site to talk about his run across the Sahara Desert in Africa.  The event will start with a viewing of the movie made about the run called, “Running the Sahara”.
.
Following the viewing Ray will host a question and answer session about his experience.  Ray has a website www.impossible2possible.com where you can learn more about the inspirational work that Ray does for others.  Tickets for the event are $10 with all proceeds going to drilling the well in Malawi.  Donations would also be appreciated and can be made on their website www.wellsforwellbeing.comwhich also has more info on the boys and their projects.

At a time in history when we hear so much sad news about young people and the choices they are making let’s show support for the great choices of Sam and Cody.  By helping to spread the word, directing people to their website and attending the event or just donating we can make a difference for them and others.  Let’s show Sam and Cody that their ambitions and drive are what we as a society want to support.  Tweet about them, email their story, call a friend and talk about it.
