Official Launch of the Place aux jeunes Ontario-SDG Recruitment Campaign – January 9, 2012

CFN – Martine Plourde, Eastern Regional Director of the Economic Development and Employability Network of Ontario (RDÉE Ontario), joined Danika Bourgeois-Desnoyers, Migration Officer for Place aux jeunes Ontario-SDG, to officially launch a recruitment campaign for young bilingual postsecondary graduates who will participate in the next discovery weekend for Place aux jeunes. These young professionals will be guests of the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SDG) region and Cornwall on March 24 and 25, 2012.

“Place aux jeunes Ontario-SDG is seeking support from its community partners and the residents of the SDG region to ensure the success of its 2012 recruitment campaign for discovery weekend. This new campaign aims to convince young people to select our great region,” stated Ms. Bourgeois-Denoyers.

The discovery weekend is for young bilinguals aged 18 to 35 years who are recent or imminent graduates from a professional school, college or university. The visit will consist in a weekend experience for 10 to 12 persons, who may or may not be from the region, in order to develop their professional contact network, help them discover— or rediscover—the region, and start thinking of establishing themselves here.

The recruitment campaign will be held from January 9 to March 2, 2012. Transportation, housing, meals and organized activities are offered free of charge by Place aux jeunes Ontario-SDG. Youth interested in registering or obtaining further information should contact the Migration Officer at 613-527-1430 or by e-mail at infopaj@rdee-ont.ca.
