DOMESTIC ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON – A 45 year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on the 7th of February, 2012. It is alleged that on the 7th of February, 2012, she got into an altercation with her 48 year-old ex-husband when she assaulted him. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation was followed. She was charged with domestic assault and released to appear in court on the 20th of March, 2012. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

THREATS

 

            Cornwall, ON- Edward Renkema, 47 of Cornwall was arrested on the 7th of February, 2012. It is alleged that on the 25th of December, 2011 he uttered threats to a 22 year-old acquaintance. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with utter threats and released to appear in court on the 27th of March, 2012.

 

FRAUD & UTTER FORGED DOCUMENT

 

Cornwall, ON- Members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Criminal Investigation Unit Fraud Division conducted an investigation during the month of January 2012. As a result of the investigation, 3 females and 1 male were arrested and charged with numerous criminal code charges. It is alleged that during the month of January 2012 one of the female’s removed cheques from a residence where she was babysitting. The female proceeded share the stolen cheques with 2 friends which in returned cashed fraudulent cheques.

 

A 16 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 1st of February, 2012 and charged with 5 counts of fraud under $5000.00, 2 counts of utter forged document, 2 counts of possession of property obtained by crime and 1 counts of theft under $5000.00. Her name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 3rd of February, 2012 and charged with fraud over $5000.00, 6 counts of fraud under $5000.00, 6 counts of utter forged documents, 8 counts of possession of property obtained by crime and 1 count of food & lodging fraud. She was released to appear in court on the 23rd of March, 2012. Her name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

Amber Boudrias, 18 of Cornwall was arrested on the 6th of February, 2012 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and utter forged document. She was released to appear in court on the 27th of March, 2012.

 

            Andrew Deyette, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on the 7th of Febraury, 2012 and charged with 2 counts of utter forged document and public mischief. He was released to appear in court on the 27th of March, 2012.

 

THEFT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Christina Laframboise, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on the 7th of February, 2012. It is alleged that she attended a Ninth Street store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with theft under $5000.00 and released to appear in court on the 15th of March, 2012.

 

DRUGS

 

Cornwall, ON- Ross Rainey, 25 of Cornwall was arrested on the 7th of February, 2012. It is alleged that on the 7th of February, 2012 he was found by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to have possession of controlled substance believed to be marijuana. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and released to appear in court on the 13th of March, 2012.

 

FAIL TO PROVIDE BREATH

 

            Cornwall, ON- Dean Pettinella, 32 of Long Sault was arrested on the 8th of February, 2012. It is alleged that on the 8th of February, 2012 he was observed by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. He was requested to provide a breath sample into an improved instrument when he refused. He was charged with fail to accompany peace officer for breath sample. He was released to appear in court on the 21st of February, 2012.
