DOMESTIC SEXUAL ASSULT
Cornwall, ON- A 40 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 14th of February, 2012. It is alleged that on the 22nd of January, 2012 he attended his 34 year-old ex-girlfriends residence and sexually assaulted her. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with sexual assault and held in custody until court later that day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.
ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS & POSSESSION OF WEAPON
Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 14th of February, 2012. It is alleged that on the evening of the 13th of February, 2011 the youth approached another 17 year-old youth and threaten him while holding a knife. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with assault with a weapon, utter threat to cause death and possession of weapon dangerous. The youth was released to appear in court on the 8th of March, 2011. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, BREACHES, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, THREATS & MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON- A 27 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 15th of February, 2012. He was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was also bound by an undertaking with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that between the 11th of February, 2012 and the 12th of February, 2012 he bit his 19 year-old girlfriend during an altercation. It is also alleged that on the 15th of February, 2012 he got into an altercation with his girlfriend when he assaulted her, broke property and struck her with a bottle. The victim suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The man was charged with 3 counts of domestic assault, 1 count of assault with a weapon, domestic mischief, utter threats to cause death, fail to comply with undertaking and breach of probation order. He was held in custody until court later that day.
DRIVE WHILE SUSPENDED
Cornwall, ON- Tehoroniate Nanticoke, 31 of Akwesasne was arrested on the 14th of February, 2012. It is alleged that on the 14th of February, 2012 he was detained at the Canadian Boarder Service Agency when he was observed to be operating a motor vehicle while he was prohibited driving Canada wide. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with drive while suspended and released to appear in court on the 1st of March, 2012

DOMESTIC INCIDENT
(South Dundas) – On 13Feb12, at approximately 6:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on County Road 5, South Dundas Township.
The investigation revealed that a female and her 56yr old common-law husband were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female.
He was arrested and faces charges of:
- Assault x2
- Criminal Harassment – Threatening Conduct
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Ammunition
- Point Firearm
He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
