Cornwall, ON- Joey Flaro, 22 of Long Sault was arrested on the 29th of April 2012. It is alleged that between the 1st of November 2011 and the 16th of December 2011 he cashed 5 stolen forged checks at various financial institutions in the City of Cornwall. He was charged with 5 counts of fraud and 5 counts of utter forged document and released to appear in court on the 5th of June 2012.
Assault
Cornwall, ON- A 34 year old Cornwall male was arrested on the 29th of April 2012. It is alleged that in December 2011 he got into an argument with his 28 year old wife where he threatened to kill her, attempted to assault her with a shoe horn and during the course of the argument assaulted her three times. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The male was subsequently charged with three counts of assault, utter a death threat and assault with a weapon. He was held in custody until court the following day. The name of the accused is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
Cornwall, ON- A 51 year old Cornwall female was arrested on the 27th of April 2012. It is alleged that in April 2012 she got into verbal arguments with an 11 year old grand-daughter and assaulted him on three separate occasions. The young person did not require medical attention due to the assaults. The young person disclosed the incidents to school staff who in turn contacted police where an investigation ensued. The female was subsequently charged with three counts of assault and released to appear in court on the 22nd of May 2012. Aggravated assault
Cornwall, ON- A 53 year old Cornwall male was arrested on the 28th of April 2012. It is alleged that on the 25th of April he got into an argument with his 53 year old girlfriend where he assaulted her. Police were notified and an investigation followed. The male was subsequently charged with assault and aggravated assault. He was held in custody to appear in court the following day. Breach
Cornwall, ON- A 27 year old Cornwall male was arrested on the 29th of April 2012. He was bound by the provisions of a recognizance with the relevant conditions to have no contact with a certain individual nor attend a specific address. It is alleged that on the 29th of April he was observed at the named address with the named person and police were notified. As a result the male was charged with two counts of breach of recognizance and held in custody until court the following day. The name of the accused is not being released as it may identify the victim in the original incident.
Theft
Cornwall, ON- Edward Stepto, 32 of Cornwall was arrested on the 28th of April 2012. He was bound by the provisions of a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 27th of April 2012 he attended a Second Street store where he removed merchandise and left the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The male was subsequently charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation and released to appear in court on the 5th of June 2012.
Harassment
Cornwall, ON- A 32 year old Cornwall male was arrested on the 27th of April 2012. He was bound by the provisions of an undertaking with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that he has been harassing his ex wife by sending her numerous text messages. As a result, police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The male was subsequently charged with criminal harassment and breach of undertaking and held in custody until court the next day. Threats
Cornwall, ON- A 20 year old Cornwall male was arrested on the 27th of April 2012. It is alleged that he threatened to kill the superintendant of his building if she entered his apartment for maintenance purposes. As a result police were contacted and an investigation followed. The male was subsequently charged with intimidation and threats to cause bodily harm. The male was held in custody to appear in court the following day. (South Glengarry) – On 28Apr12, at approximately 10:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a theft on North Branch Road, South Glengarry Township. The investigation revealed that a male had attended a residence and was in the process of removing scrap metal.

IMPAIRED DRIVER
(South Glengarry) – On 29Apr12, at approximately 4:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a collision on Concession 2, South Glengarry Township.
The investigation revealed that a 19yr old male (Jonathan RICARD of Les Cedres, QC) was operating a 2005 Pontiac when he struck a Dodge pick-up truck that was parked on the shoulder.
The male was found to be operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
He was arrested and faces a charge of:
- Impaired Operation / Alcohol / Motor Vehicle / Cause Bodily Harm
He is scheduled to appear 06Jun12 in Alexandria court.
TRAFFIC STOP NETS DRUGS
(South Glengarry) – On 27Apr12, at approximately 11:45am, members of the OPP HSD (Highway Safety Division) had occasion to check a vehicle on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township.
The stop resulted in the seizure (small amount) of suspected marihuana. The 24yr old male driver (Mateusz MISZCZUK of Montreal, QC) and his two male passengers (Andrew BRITTON age 32yrs of Anjou, QC and Sebastien BORDEAUX 33yrs of Montreal, QC) were arrested and face charges of:
- Possession Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana – under 30grams
All three men are scheduled to appear 06Jun12 in Alexandria court.
DOMESTIC INCIDENT
(South Stormont) – On 27Apr12, at approximately 9:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Colonial Drive, Ingleside On.
The investigation revealed that a female had been assaulted by her 46yr old husband. The male was located and arrested the next day.
He faces charges of:
- Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Assault with a Weapon
He is scheduled to appear 29May12 in Cornwall court.
ASSAULT
(North Glengarry) – On 29Apr12, at approximately 11:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an assault on Mechanic St. Maxville, On.
The investigation revealed that a male was involved in a verbal altercation with a 24yr old male from Maxville, On) when he was assaulted by him and a second male (Robert LEFEBVRE 46yrs of Ottawa, On).
Both men were arrested and face charges of:
