BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 5th, 2012. The youth was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, abide by house rules, and abide by a curfew of 10pm to 6am except with the permission of your mother or father. The youth was also bound by a Recognizance of Bail with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, obey the rules and regulations of your surety, and abide by a curfew of 8pm to 6am unless accompanied by surety. It is alleged that the youth failed to follow the conditions for several days. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with 3 counts of Fail to comply with Undertaking and 3 counts of Breach of Recognizance. The youth was held in custody until court the followed day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Cornwall, ON- A 18-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on July 5th, 2012. She was bound by a Recognizance with the condition Keep the Peace and to have no contact with her 27-year-old ex-boyfriend except with his written revocable consent. It is alleged that on July 5th, 2012 she contacted her ex-boyfriend without consent. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Breach of Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim.
Cornwall, ON- A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 5th, 2012. The youth was bound by an Undertaking with a relevant condition to abstain from the consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances. The youth was also bound by 2 Probation Orders with the conditions to abstain from the use of alcohol or non-prescription drugs and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on July 5th, 2012 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division located the youth under the influence of alcohol. The youth was charged with Fail to Comply with Undertaking and 4 counts of Probation Order. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT & BREACH
Cornwall, On a 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 5th, 2012. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on July 4th, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 19-year-old girlfriend when he assaulted her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault and Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

Cornwall, ON- Michael Lauzon, 46 of Cornwall was arrested on July 5th, 2012. He was bound an Undertaking with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and nor to possess drugs in acceptance with a medical prescription. It is alleged that on July 5th, 2012 he was found by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service to be in possession of controlled substances. He was charged with 2 counts of Possession of controlled Substance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day.
THEFT & BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 5th, 2012. The youth was bound by 2 separate Undertakings with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on July 5th, 2012 she attended a Water Street store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for the item. The youth was detained by the store’s Lost Prevention Officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. The youth was charged with Theft under $5000.00 and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, WEAPONS DANGEROUS & THREATS
Cornwall, ON- A 51-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 5th, 2012. It is alleged that on July 5th, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 41-year-old neighbour when he threaten him while holding a knife. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Assault with a weapon, Weapons Dangerous and Utter Threats to Cause Death. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.
