ROBBERY
Cornwall, ON- Two males and one female were arrested on the 1st of August 2012. It is alleged that on the 28th of July 2012 the three individuals pulled out a knife threatening the victim then demanded money. It is further alleged that on the same date the three attended a residence on St. Felix and removed a compressor. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.
Nadine Bedard, 26 of Cornwall was bound by the provisions of a probation order and a recognizance, both with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. She was charged with Robbery, Break and Enter, Breach of Probation (x2) and Breach of Recognizance (x2) and held in custody to appear in court the following day.
Trevor Chesebro, 26 of Hawkesbury was bound by the provisions of two separate undertakings, both with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was charged with Robbery, Break and Enter and four counts of breach of undertaking and held in custody to appear in court the following day.
Adam Ullman, 22 of Hawkesbury was charged with Robbery and Break and Enter and held in custody to appear in court the following day.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 16 year old Cornwall male was arrested on the 1st of August 2012. It is alleged that on the 1st of August the youth got into a verbal argument with his 19 year old sister when he broke her cell phone, kicked her then grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened her. The victim managed to leave the residence and contact police. As a result of the investigation, the youth was charged with Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, Threats to cause bodily harm or death, Assault, Mischief Under $5000 and Assault with a weapon. He was held in custody until court the following day. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.
Cornwall, ON- A 33 year old man from Cornwall was arrested on the 1st of August 2012. It is alleged that on the 12th of July 2012 he got into a verbal argument with his 32 year old ex-wife when he assaulted her. Police were notified and the male was subsequently charged with Assault and released to appear in court on the 11th of September. The victim did not suffer any injuries as a result of the incident.
DOMESTIC MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON- A 32 year old female from Cornwall was arrested on the 1st of August 2012. It is alleged that on the 31st of July 2012 she cut up photographs of her 33 year old ex-husband and urinated on his clothing. Police were contacted and the female was subsequently charged with Mischief under $5000 and released to appear in court on the 11th of September 2012.
FRAUD OVER $5000
Cornwall, ON- Nine (9) males were arrested by Members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Fraud Unit after an investigation concluded in regards to a Fraud complaint. It is alleged that between February 2012 and May 2012, the males attended a Brookdale Avenue gas station and obtained fuel by using stolen credit cards. It is estimated that the males obtained approximately $125 000.00 in fuel.
Amritpal Singh, 37 of Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, was arrested on July 26th, 2012. He was charged with Fraud over $5000, 6 counts of Use Forged Credit Card and 6 counts of Possess Credit Card Data. He was held in custody until court the following day.
Joravar Dhugga, 31 of Laval, Quebec, was arrested on July 26th, 2012. He was charged with Fraud over $5000, 11 counts of Use Forged Credit Card and 11 counts of Possess Credit Card Data. He was held in custody until court the following day.
Gurvinder Saini, 31 of Lasalle, Quebec, was arrested on July 26th, 2012. He was charged with Fraud over $5000, 11 counts of Use Forged Credit Card and 11 counts of Possess Credit Card Data. He was held in custody until court the following day.
Jagmohan Singh, 41 of Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, was arrested on July 26th, 2012. He was charged with Fraud under $5000, 6 counts of Use Forged Credit Card and 6 counts of Possess Credit Card Data. He was held in custody until court the following day.
Palwinder Johal, 53 of Laval, Quebec, was arrested on July 26th, 2012. He was charged with Fraud over $5000, 17 counts of Use Forged Credit Card and 17 counts of Possess Credit Card Data. He was held in custody until court the following day.
Lahkwinder Bains, 29 of Lasalle, Quebec was arrested on the 2nd of August 2012. He was charged with Fraud over $5000, 6 counts of Use Forged Credit Card and 6 counts of Possess Credit Card Data. He was held in custody until court the following day.
Satnam Natt, 28 of Mississauga, Ontario was arrested on the 2nd of August 2012. He was charged with Fraud under $5000, 4 counts of Use Forged Credit Card and 4 counts of Possess Credit Card Data. He was held in custody until court the following day.
Majail Nirbal, 53 of Lasalle, Quebec, was arrested on the 2nd of August 2012. He was charged with Fraud over $5000, 8 counts of Use Forged Credit Card and 8 counts of Possess Credit Card Data. He was held in custody until court the following day.
Inderjit Saini, 40 of Brampton, Ontario was arrested on the 2nd of August 2012. He was charged with Fraud under $5000, 2 counts of Use Forged Credit Card and 2 counts of Possess Credit Card Data. He was held in custody until court the following day.
BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- Andrew Mancini, 23 of Ottawa was arrested on the 31st of July 2012. He was bound by the provisions of a Recognizance with the relevant conditions to reside at a specific address in Ottawa and should he leave, he is to report to Cornwall Police within six hours. It is alleged that on the 19th of July the male left the residence and failed to report to Cornwall Police as directed. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The male was located by police and subsequently charged with two counts of breach of Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day.
Break and Enter
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter that occurred on the 1st of August 2012 at Brookdale Avenue residence. It is believed that culprit(s) gained entry into the residence by removing a window screen. Once entry was gained the culprit(s) removed an ipod touch and the victim’s purse. It is believed that culprit(s) gained entry by breaking a window. It does not appear as though anything was taken during the incident. ASSAULT CHARGES
(North Stormont) – On August 01, 2012 at approximately 11:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Concession Street in the Village of Crysler, North Stormont Township. Investigation revealed a male at the residence had assaulted a female (no relation) and caused damage within the home.
The 53year old male was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault
– Mischief to Property under $5000.00
He was held in custody, pending a court appearance (bail) in Cornwall this date (02Aug12).
(South Glengarry) – On August 02, 2012 at approximately 10:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an assault which occurred on County Road 19, South Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed an altercation between a 17year old female youth and her ex-boyfriend has taken place while the two had been travelling in a vehicle. The incident resulted in the female assaulting the male.
The female was located and arrested at her residence in the Town of Alexandria a short time later. Further information also revealed she was in contravention of her probation order. She is charged with;
– Assault
– Breach of Probation
She was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on September 11, 2012.
