Why is there no out cry against the injustice over the murder of the unborn?
What prompted me to write this letter is what the admin: Jamie wrote recently – “The good pastor when not picketing in the region loves to inject Abortion debate into news piece about puppies and things of that sort…”.
I am not for the cruelty of animals, even the Bible says this Pro 12:10 “A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel”. All should regard the life of his beast, or animals, meaning as a good steward of all the things God gives to me, I should take care of my animals.
So, all should have a reverence for the sanctity of life – right? This is where our society shows such a cruel bias towards the unborn. Even if I were a believer in evolution, which I am certainly not, at least the unborn should be treated as devolving animals. Equal rights for all? A right to life? Even the unborn? I understand Canadian’s definition of life in womb is so old and out dated, and needs to be updated to what modern science has discovered about conception, gestation, etc. So why do we oppose such a redefinition of life in the womb? Consider the following verses from the Holy Bible –
Exo 21:22 -23 “And when men fight, and they strike a pregnant woman, and her child goes forth, and there is no injury, being fined he shall be fined. As much as the husband of the woman shall put on him, even he shall give through the judges. But if injury occurs, you shall give life for life”. No injury to the mother and child! If the mother is fine, and baby dies, does the murder get off Scot free?
Abortion is just one example of the lost of the reverence and sanctity of life – of all life. Other areas where the sanctity of life has been lost is in our justice system, assisted suicide, euthanasia, etc. But not to derail this topic, I hear such out cries of injustice for the cruelty of animals, like for the dog Wicca, and the beavers, etc. but when such are questioned for their silence towards the slaughter of the unborn, they have no answer. Saying that it is the woman’s right to murder her offspring is just a selfish, brutal, demonic way of justifying one’s hatred for life, and for the life that God has given. What about the rights of the fathers? Last time I looked in a biology book, it still takes a man and woman to bring forth life. 50/50! Only the daughters of Eve have rights?
I read recently somewhere this title -”Elephants are people too”. Lets try a little logic -If elephants are people too. And elephants and the unborn are animals too, so the unborn are people too! Murder of one’s offspring is illogical, and unnatural, even creation proves that. But I reassert that the silence for the slaughter of the unborn is a direct result of the lost of the sanctity of life. This lost is due to our wicked departure from the True and Living God – the Creator, the Author and Sustainer of all life. Such a wicked departure surely will not go unnoticed, nor unpunished by the Righteous God of heaven. We are seeing His retributional Hand at work, even in our day! God is the God of love, but He is also the God that loves holiness, righteousness, purity, and yes, He loves the unborn, which He has given life to, which we have wickedly murdered for own selfish gains. Such will not go unpunished!
Gen 1:26 – 27″And God said, let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creepers creeping on the earth. And God created the man in His own image; in the image of God He created him. He created them male and female”.
Gen 9:5-6 “And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man”.

what is your opinin on rape Mr Newton?
What is your opinion on incest?
You know what? it doesn’t matter. My body, my choice. I’ll thank you to keep your opinions of it to yourself. It’s none of your business.
To Pastor Tom…I mean no harm to you and state the following without prejudice.
Until humans end the systematic hatred of women, which extends as far back in human history as pre-Biblical times, the issues of the unborn will (sadly) never be solved.
Unfortunately, women have always sought abortion – through herbal toxins, mechanical injury and other barbaric means – because throughout human history an unwed mother or inconveniently pregnant woman, would be tortured and/or murdered for her sin.
Remember: Women are property. Babies most often mean financial and social ruin.
Even Joseph, husband of the so-called virgin (upon learning the mother of Jesus was pregnant) sought to “put her away.”
Do I like the idea of abortion? No. Am I sickened to see teenagers lined up at the pharmacy for their dose of Plan B following a big Grey Cup weekend? Yes. Do I go around saying (of women): Their bodies, their choice? Not too often.
But do we blame women for their selfishness or the societies who condone throwing acid in their faces, or condemning them to a lifetime poverty or honour killings.
At least Henry Morgentaler got it right: Women deserve, at least, good medical care v. back alley butchers.
It is very sad.
@”soc” Morgentaler was wrong. Women who so desperately / selfishly / heinously wish to have their unborn baby murdered deserve the out-come of far too many back-alley abortions.
@bella-b … re: your comment : “You know what? it doesn’t matter. My body, my choice.”
I have this to say : ” ’ll thank you to keep your opinions of it to yourself. It’s none of your business what Pastor Tom Newton believes and declares publically.”
It’s only logical that if you are free to have and express an opinion about what is and/or isn’t his business, then it’s only reasonable that he should be free to have an express an opinion re: this and any number of other topics, in spite of whether you agree with it or not.
Abortion is murdered. If someone were to break into the home of a friend or family member whom you love and if they were to brutally shred an infant member of that family, with the help of other people in your community, what would you recommend as the penalty for their unified murderous act(s) ?
Abortionists deserve no less.
I think most would agree that abortion, when used as a form birth control by intelligent people who are willingly engaging in “the act”, is not the best solution. And certainly, bible-thumping will accomplish nothing to solve the problem. In fact, it will just drive most people away from the discussion. Education, easy access to birth control, and respect for each other would would go a lot further in solving the problem than bible quotes.
Abortion is not a discussion between civilize people, but an act of cold-blooded murder.
add it up: no sanctity for life + no sacredness for marriage = abortion.
Bella-b: To answer your questions.
Abortion or infanticide for rape and incest was never the case according to the Bible. Such were considered illegitimate children – born out of God honoring marriage, but the children did not suffer for the sins of their parents. Those who committed rape, where the woman cried out for help, the man was sentence to death in the case when the woman was married or betrothed to another man. In some cases the man was made to marry the women he raped, with no possible divorce, and made retribution to the woman’s parents.
In the case of incest, the man or woman was put to death. The child born of this incestuous act were never but to death – Eze 18:20 “The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him”.
And as to your body, well, it is a gift from your Creator. And what you do with your body, you will have to give an account on the great Judgement Day. For now God punishes us for our misuse of our bodies, and that at times with poor health, diseases, etc. What God expects from us -1Co 6:18-20 ” Don’t be immoral in matters of sex. That is a sin against your own body in a way that no other sin is. You surely know that your body is a temple where the Holy Spirit lives. The Spirit is in you and is a gift from God. You are no longer your own.
God paid a great price for you. So use your body to honor God”.
1Co 10:31 “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God”.
“you will have to give an account on the great Judgement Day.”
It is not for you to judge my actions on this earth, you said so yourself. And as a self admitted sinner, who are you to throw stones at me? To tell me how to live my life? I’ll take my chances at the pearly gates when my time comes.
~~~~~
What ever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me.
You might want to keep that in mind Mr Judgy Mc judgerson!
Bella-b – I am not telling how to run your live, God is! You will not be judged by Pastor Tom’s standard, but by the Word of God that you have read, and what has been spoken to you.
The Word of God is used to convict us of sin, and of lifestyles that are displeasing to God. My His grace and power we repent and begin to love God and His Word. It is by His grace we escape judgment, and by His renewing power we begin to want to be conformed to His Word – to be like His Son.
John 12:48-49 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak”.
So remember your issue is not with me, but with your Creator and Law giver.
I think it has reached a point where there needs to be an intervention by the admin and restrict allowing Newton’s freedom of speech to have so much space.
I say this because the crux of his argument is that women are murderers for having an abortion and, as such, if you look at all the Bible quotes, should be put to death. Clearly, Newton is a fanatic, and as such, should not be allowed air time. I object to the discriminatory stance that he takes against women and decry it as fomenting hatred against women. I have really had enough of his lack of reason. Respectfully, I request that you stop giving him a public forum. The women of Cornwall suffer enough from violence against them without this kind of fanning of the flames.
“The Word of God is used to convict us of sin, and of lifestyles that are displeasing to God. ”
Yes, and you do so quite loudly.
~~~~
here’s one for you
“Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.”
So take a break and let the dogs and swine to themselves.
~~~~~
How another chooses to live their life is of no concern of yours. Do you feel like a martyr each time you are criticized? The problem as I see it, is that you get off on this stuff. The more people chastise you and argue with you, the holier or more blessed you feel. I think you have replaced all your sinful vices with the sin of pride. And your need to be right and righteous is just as vile as a life devoted to drugs, sex, sloth or any other offence against god. You are no better than anyone else, you just have a different vice which you seem to believe makes you better than others who choose a different way of life than yours.
Give it a rest Mr. Judgy Mc judgerson. God will take care of his, you just worry about you and yours.
Maggie writes -“I say this because the crux of his argument is that women are murderers for having an abortion and, as such, if you look at all the Bible quotes, should be put to death”.
#1 – yes abortion is murder, so those who have abortions are murders – both the man and the woman.
#2- no, the Word of God does not require the death penalty for this type of sin. For example the woman in John 8 was guilty of adultery. According to the Word of God – Old Testament law, she should’ve been put to death. But under this time of grace, adultery is still adultery, but instead of stoning, there is forgiveness, and grace to “go, and sin no more”(John 8:11). If one doesn’t “go and sin no more” than such forgiveness is not real, and one has not come into a saving relationship with the Living God, because saving grace is evident in a change life in repentance.
#3- as to hatred towards women, what I do hate is feminism, abortion, and immoral conduct by men and women, that is first of all displeasing to God, and secondly will ultimately bring such into eternal destruction and judgment.
To Pastor Newton;
Because you choose to believe in, and live under the strict orthodoxy of, your Bible, does not make it universal truth Sir. I know that discenting opinion may be very difficult for you to accept, as you rail against anybody else who choses to think and decide freely for themselves their lifes code of conduct. I suggest you concrntrate your efforts on understanding organized religion’s historical intolerance towards women, abusses towards children and outright slaughter of aboriginals in the new world. When you can successfuly convince me of the correctness of these acts, and the altruism of religion, I may begin to listen to you otherwise.
supporting feminism and teaching girls, boys, governments and churches what feminism is would probably do much to reduce abortion.
consider the case of women in Asia (that includes India, of course) and Asian Canadians. millions of female fetuses are aborted to ensure the birth of sons.
travel to China, where the one child policy is still in effect. you see parents with their little boys. you see girls rarely.
in Japan, birth control was only allowed into the country in 1999 but not because the country is anti birth control. it’s because abortion (of girls) is a major and accepted industry
some of the best feminists I know, by the way, are men.
“what I do hate is feminism, abortion, and immoral conduct by men and women,”
Add to that environmentalism, any religion other than his own, acceptance of gays, wildlife (especially beavers), spiritualism, birth control, humanism, and the list could go on forever.
There’s a lot of hate going on there, Mr. Newton. Doesn’t it get tiring?
In order to love you must hate. I hate sin, and the devil, not people. We are to hate falsehood, false religions, etc. – Psa 119:128 “Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way”.
Even God says this about hate and love – Rom 9:13 “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated”. God can hate people, for He is perfectly righteous, and knows their hearts completely, and knows for what end He has created them – Pro 16:4 “The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil”. Job 21:30 “That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath”.
We, as Christians. are called on to love sinners and hate their sin, even as we remember we were once sinners, and how God has showed mercy upon us for Jesus sake. We are to love God, His Word, and righteousness/holiness first, then others, even as ourselves. The word “Joy” is the order in which we love – Jesus, others, yourself.
Psa 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
Pro 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
So in the end, God will in righteousness judge all those that hate Him , that hate His Son, His Word, and His people. (“There’s a lot of hate going on there”- writes Ed, so true, against God that is). So now is the day to repent and seek mercy and forgiveness from God via faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. For God in love has provided the only Saviour given among men – trust in Him, before it is to late!
Abortion is murder! There is no reason at all for abortion. My MIL had a child born with Downs Syndrome back in 1961 and never thought once of aborting her child. It was just last December before Christmas that he died in the arms of my SIL’s and he was loved to the very end.
About rape or incest I thought about that a lot and no there is no reason at all for abortion. It would not be the fault of the child born because of such an act.
There are many judgements of God coming and without prayer and repentence and getting back to God it is only going to get much worse. Satan is here on earth and the antichrist will appear as well and we are going to have terrible wars much worse than what we have now. Floods, fires, famine, diseases, etc. and it is already happening. People’s morals are in the toilet.
