Did Cornwall City Council Trigger Minor Earthquake in Eastern Ontario & Western Quebec?

CFN – Cornwall residents asked if there was in fact an Earthquake last night that struck shortly after City Council ended?   One insider equated the event to the spouting of gas from City Hall as a form of Fracking.

No damage was reported; mostly it gave people something to chat about on Facebook & Twitter.   No UFO sightings were reported nor were there upset farm animals.

City Council was visited by three presentations including an appearance of CCH poobahs Helene Periard & Janet Despatie as well as a presentation by the black clad ladies of the Agape Centre who’s leader, Alyssa Blais presented to council although their powerpoint presentation was cancelled due to a technical glitch.

More to come on Tuesday night’s council meeting later.

Did you feel the Earthquake?    You can post your comments below.

  1. Felt it, and found a quake site report to confirm that I did, actually, feel a quake, about twenty minutes later. Very small compared to the Virginia one last year.

  2. I had no idea the present Cornwall ‘aristocracy’ had the ability to cause an ‘earthquake’. I had originally thought that the present court had only the power to cause ‘tremors’ at best. 😉

Please do tell us more of their ‘seismic’ activity

  3. I do enjoy your writing, kind of like when Saturday Night Live was good!

The CCH folks are making the rounds, last and this month in South Glengarry too.

  4. Attending council meeting last night-complete waste of time Paying to get on the bus because I lost my buspass – $2.75
Seeing the look on Jamies face when he found himself standing next to a local CEO- priceless.

  5. A few years ago after a minor earthquake in the Ottawa Valley, a woman speaking for emergency preparedness locally was quoted in the press. She said a big earthquake damaging the dam holding back Lake St. Lawrence would flood all of Cornwall. Meanwhile, my insurance agent at Hunt says neither I nor most city homeowners bother to purchase the extra earthquake insurance. On your knees folks, lets keep praying for tiny quakes!

  6. LOL! Jamie you made my morning….laughed all the way into work. Great pic. Truly represents the bunch of idots running this town!!!!!

  7. Awe Jamie.

You sholdn’t be so hard on our elected officials. Don’t you realise they only make about $15,ooo a year for all the guff and blow we gave them permission to give out? Good thing no-one else picks on them or even talks about them at break times.

Narcissism is alive and well when filling those seats. That weighs a lot on them down don’t you know. Some can be so full of it, yet now and then we get a surprise don’t we.

Case in point to understand what I mean, they will tell us it wasn’t their fault we have to revover the overtaxed under assessment of NAVCAN with a $750,000 pay back we owe them now.

  8. LOL…Good one, Cory.

Don’t keep us in suspense for too long, Jamie. Cannot imagine those “lovely” ladies could cause cracks in the foundation of the Parlement de Cornwall. The naked emperor seems unaware…

  9. No wonder you can’t make any money running this blog. You spend your time making childish collages and spewing vile opinion all day long. Serial stalkers, rapists and murders make collages out of magazine clippings, not “journalists”.

You are a waste of human flesh.

  10. Donnie only a stalker, rapist, etc etc. would be able to point something like that out!!!

Free news has a bit of everything for everyone. I personally think it is VERY humourous. The city council has earned that pic. It takes a lot of major mess ups to be given a spot like that LOL!
