Supreme Court of Canada will NOT hear Galganov / Brisson Forced Bilingual Sign Appeal – Breaking

CFN – Human rights champion Howard Galganov reports that today he received the much-anticipated e-mail concerning his petition made to the Supreme Court. The court of last resort was being asked to overturn a decision made by a Superior Court judge that allows muncipalities to over-ride the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Previously an Ontario Superior Court judge ruled that Russell Township violated the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, but that doing so was acceptable. By a very slim majoriy, the township passed a bylaw which demands that all new exterior commercial signage be in English and French, not one or the other and no provision for other languages. Russell was the fourth Eastern Ontario township to do so.
Today the Township of Russell posted the following Press Statement on their website:
“In light of the decision of the Supreme Court of Canada in regards to the leave of appeal from Galganov / Brisson versus Russell in the matter related to the Bilingual Sign Bylaw, we are extremely pleased that the plaintiffs were denied the hearing” said Mr. Jean Paul St-Pierre, Mayor for the Township of Russell. “It finally brings closure to the legal proceedings that were, in all instances, decided in favor of the Municipality by the court. The Court reiterates the fact that the Township was in its legal rights to adopt such bylaw and that Mr. Howard Galganov, a non-resident of the municipality, was in no position to contest the bylaw. We now can move forward for the benefit of our communities” concluded Mayor St.Pierre.”
How ironic that some Franco businesses and municipal agencies choose not to adhere to the bylaw. The municipal Fire Hall in Embrun boasts a unilingual sign which reads: “Poste de Pompiers”.

And, as we reported recently, the Francophone cultural/entertainment centre recently replaced its sign with a high tech version, but still in French only. An employee of La Maison des Arts told us that they were zoned differently (institutional/non-profit), then said that it’s because they provide French education. Apparently the centre previously had posted a small sign which explained that rationale. A member of the local community informed us that La Maison des Arts provides day care service for the French Catholic School across the street; would one not think that to be considered a business venture?
Pierre Leroux ran for and became a Russell Councillor two years ago; he told CFN that it’s widely known that one of his motivating forces in running for Council was the fact that he didn’t feel it right the way that bilingualism was forced upon local businesses. As for today’s Supreme Court announcement, as a member of Council he’s happy that the Township will not have to pay for an expensive legal battle (which he feels could have been avoided), but as a person he feels that the decision is wrong.

So, what about everyone else? People are asking ‘What’s the problem with being fair and allowing everyone a similar degree of freedom of expression?’ That’s a great question!
In our short clip, viewers can plainly see that the animated sign is unilingual and hear for themselves the explanation we received from a staff member of the arts centre.
Galganov was among the presenters at the recent annual Christmas Luncheon hosted by Canadians for Language Fairness at an Ottawa area restaurant. At the gathering, Galganov told the crowd:
“If the Supreme Court decides that they’re not going to hear the case, then it becomes the law of Canada. Any municipality can legislate, not just on issues of language and culture, but on any of the guarantees in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The Charter is essentially a Charter of Suggestions. Any time a judge or group of judges of one mindset or the other can decide what is to be protected and what is not to be protected it means we have no guarantees. Freedom of Expression is the foremost guarantee we have in any free society.”
In our highlight video clip (unedited footage provided by Danno Saunt) each of the key presenters at the CLF Luncheon (Beth Trudeau, Howard Galganov, Nick Vandergragt, Brian Lilley, Ron Barr and Jack MacLaren) shares an update on their involvement in the ongoing struggle to preserve basic human rights here in Canada.
It is anticipated that Galganov as well as Language Fairness for All and Canadians for Language Fairness will step up their efforts locally and nationally.

Don Smith reports on a variety of topics, notably good news items as well as social justice issues.

I agree with Leo about discussing ideas and with tap tap about the CLF.

Oh and, hey Ken, can you believe someone wrote this?
–
“This gang keep saying that the GOV wants to make this entire country bilingual and forcing french in every province……NOT TRUE!!!!”
–
With the gaul to add the comment “NOT TRUE”
when in fact there are MANY stories like this one (which happens to be a bit older) but the precedence and concept are still going on with other stories to this day. IE: the national anthem at the Calgary Stampede not long ago.
WHICH PROVES the entire country is under threat of French and bilingualism being forced upon everyone.

Bilinguisme obligatoire dans Alberta ? NON! (Forced Bilingualism in Alberta? NO!)
It had to happen. We knew it was just a matter of time. For years, Albertans have been waiting for the other shoe to drop, and now we are reeling from the thud. It is amazing that it didn’t happen sooner, to be honest.
In a case that just might end up in Canada’s Supreme Court, a man who describes himself as an ‘Alberta Francophone’ is challenging a simple traffic ticket – because his request to have the ticket translated into French was denied. Gilles Caron, a truck driver from Edmonton, then attempted to have his subsequent trial in French which was also denied. Now, Caron has decided to turn a traffic ticket – make that, a three-year-old $54 traffic ticket – into a language issue. He has hired a lawyer with the intent of ‘justice’, but who does he think he is kidding?

Democracy is dead when the rights of a few trump the rights of the many.
Democracy is dead when ones rights are lost to another’s.
When ones rights are more important then another’s ,no one culture should have more rights then another democracy is dead.
United together we will bring equality for ALL Canadians.
Under God we are All equal, under Canadian law we are not !
Since the 60’s America has changed from segregation and racism to having an African American president.
Since the 60’s Canada has imported segregation -french only clinics and segregated school buses in Alexandria ,and a prime minister who must speak french for that 17%,therefore the leader of any political party must be from that 17%.
Quebec willing only to except one culture /one language -even Alabama fought to have integrated schools as this was a state policy as well, not to allow colored in their schools.
Yet in Canada its excepted to behave like this in Quebec-why have we imported racism in Canada in Quebec!
We have become what America has been working so hard to no longer be.
“not understanding something is not racist.”
that’s right pierre. and to continue to not educate yourself is called ignorance.
” “STUBORNLY REFUSING” to understand “THIS LAW”, and it’s necessity and still try to kill it, can and should be seen as racism”
still not using the word correctly. Let me help:
racism
The prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races
Discriminatory or abusive behaviour towards members of another race
Thanks Ken, Highlander, Edudyorlik, Tap Tap, and all others forgot to mention for your comments…
I think a mass demonstration on the Hill will help our cause. Benefactors of course would help for funding as we know our own government at various levels only believes in funding certain special interest groups to the detriment of all others.
Amazing that even the actions of our elected representatives have proclivity to this nonsense.
Our cause is only to grow as Non-Francophones are increasingly kept out of the loop in regards to access to government and now too, non-goverment positions. I’m sad to say that I think we’re going to see more and more people coming forward with their own negative stories and experiences having to do with the subject of bilingualism.
One of the reasons why I even refuse to debate the subject with Stella and company anymore is due to the fact that they cannot even define the problem altogether. Notice their perpetual continued use in labeling us ‘English’ Freedom fighters. They cannot even acknowledge that CLF and LFA have in their membership members whose first language isn’t even English. For, how can you even waste your time in debate with a group who cannot even define the problems properly. (Bilingualism, Fair Government Hiring Policies and Freedom of Expression). The mudslinging doesn’t even bother me so much as this ignorance on their behalf.
I just cannot find it in me to waste my time anymore with the likes of these people who attempt to derail the argument all the time.
And to Pierre,
My last statement wasn’t directed to you but simply to highlight that you continued your tirade against someone else in my absence. This time being the Administrator of this website. My comment was made as an observation, no more, no less.
I feel rather guilty as well this morning as I type this message thinking back over this past year as I admit there have been a few times that I’ve baited the other side. And for that I’m truly sorry.
The statement about not wanting to debate the other side you made Pierre is simply not true. The way I see it is I think it is just a waste of both of our times to go back and forth and to eventually degenerate the argument into name calling and Godwin’s Law. But hey, if it makes you feel better and helps to fuel your ego then sure sir, I admit I cannot make any logical argument against your points.
Have a great, great morning everyone,
Cory

” The prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races Discriminatory or abusive behaviour towards members of another race”
Now that really sounds like Quebec!!!
Yet in Canada you can legally discriminate by language,in fact the government of Quebec encourages it!
The federal government policies provides the venue for hiring through discrimination.
So people why would the most culturally diverse governing body (United Nations) include Language as a form of discrimination and yet Canada its the only excluded discriminatory means?
@ Ududyorlik
Caron’ fight to get a ticket fine overturned, because it is unconstitutional, is about giving the same rights to the Alberta official language minority (french) that are accorded to the Québec official language minority (English)
Check under s. 133 of the Constitution of 1867.
You have the nasty habit of just showing the part of a story that favors your position. Tell the whole story, edudyorlik.
And then, tell me. Do you that think, if the Supreme Court rules against Caron, Québec should have only the french language on tickets, etc.
In your world, is what’s good for the goose, good for the gander?
It is in mine.
@ Ed
Are we outnumbered?
For I while I believed so.
It felt that I was playing ping-pong against 4,5 players, which is would not have been a problem, considering the quality of the players except that, they each had a ball that they would bat, at me, almost all, at the same time.
About the hate trip to Ottawa.
My crystal ball shows me that the demo on the Hill won’t happen…
To bad, I just love girls in bikinies.
@ Edudyorlik, Highlander, Cory, Bell-b, Ken, Eric, tap tap et al,
And the hits keep coming
Ignore the ignorant,
They are really not worth any responses on our part..
@ highlander
The definition, you gave of racism, actually looks, a lot more, like what you want turn Ontario and the ROC into, than it does Québec.
What you say about the UN’s language policy is a perversion. The U.N. agrees with the Canadian Charter of Rights language policy and, it also agrees with Québec’s language laws since it made the necessary changes in1993.
Check it out!
@ bella-b
You’ve never provided any kind of info.
All you do is, express your prejudices and sling mud at me.
I think that shows, that I’ve got more education, in my little finger, than you’ve got in all of your body.
Yay! I agree with Pierre! I like girls in Bikinis too!
Alberta Francophones 1.8%
Quebec Anglophones 18%
We need all provinces to have thier own bill 101.
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander!
Getting a new bikini for the rally…….
Thinking Ed is right………airport here we come……I am getting very excited!!!
Sorry…..but i have to share this because it makes me laugh!!
tap tap, leo and the head honcho, the little c, keep saying ignore the ignorant and they repeat this 30 times a day, yet they keep responding in an indirect way…LOL Very amusing!!!
Pierre….c’est pas dure a battre tant qu’a l’intelligence the B…..elle n’a rien d’autre a faire et dire que d’envoyer des fleches.
Pierre, we are for sure outnumbered on this site. I’m pretty sure the Parliament Hill gong-show will go on. We’ll look forward to seeing the bikini-clad Highland dancers and the mattress-tossing contest. It should be a blast! 🙂
Pierre, why would I waste time posting for people who refuse to read it? I’ve been ignored since I dared to stand up to the idiocy with proof. Not sure why, since I wasn’t the one hurling insults. If someone is passionate enough to express themselves, shouldn’t they stand behind their words? Is it my fault when folks get upset they say stupid stuff? Is it not okay for me to point out lies and hyperboles? Is it wrong to ask posters to stand behind what they type? Words are powerful and should be used judiciously and with care. and frankly properly. I have been accused of laying bear traps and word mazes and now you pierre, are questioning my education? Please. pshaw you silly goose. pshaw!
And stella, for someone who refuses to acknowledge my existence, you sure spend a lot of time isulting me. If only I had some way of finding out what you said in your secret coded message concerning me.
*s*
xoxo
Bzzzt WRONG yet AGAIN… Off the stage. don’t forget the gum on the nose… And as Chretien (cue the clip admin) said, “da proof is da proof, cause well, it’s da proof”
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-UmgF1vdaDj4/UHhY65W22NI/AAAAAAAAAJc/bLZjpRSFWPk/s1129/French+ticket.jpg
Apology and acknowledgment expected …
And btw, it’s not a “hate trip” it’s a “love fest.” That’s right, we love and appreciate the French language and culture SO MUCH that we are going to give its own home (the “COUNTRY” of Quebec”) so it can wallow in it’s own grandeur till such time that it self implodes due to lack of acceptance for any other race, creed, color or language in the outside world.
–
Funny how they somehow find a way to speak English when it comes to trade and tourism.
Ah well, that’s yet another issue for yet another day…
Hey Cory ,
You notice how our propagandist Stella has aligned herself with the separatists?
Not bad for one who claims she is here to stop the separation of the country, but we all know she’s here to push the “FRENCH AGENDA”,always has been.
We still want job equity and fair government hiring practices.
Pierre wants separation,Stella wants to maintain her privilege class, and Ed just has fun insulting others and antagonizing, geez its the 3 stooge’s all over again, with one exception -instead of comedy its insults.
@Pierre
We should ask Pauline Marois to pass the torch…oops, I mean pots and pans…for our rally on the Hill. What is good for the goose is good for the gander… Use the enemy tactics… Fight fire with fire…whatever…but Official Bilingualism must die.
hey Bella-b, this is a Google translate of the phrase she wrote,
–
“Stone …. it’s not hard to beat as the B’s intelligence ….. it has nothing else to do and say to send arrows.”
Isn’t it fitting how Pierre is translated to Stone? hahahahaha
and, “to send arrows” is like our version of throwing Pierre’s oops, i meant stones 🙂
@ bella-b
See, you are completely flipped
I read a many of your gang’s posts and I have been responding to as many, of them as I can
You and they are the ones who say they won’t read my, our posts and its you(s), who say they will not respond.
And, we now why. It’s because, in my case anyways, I check what I write, before I do, and in most cases, I back it, up with proof you, they can’t dispute so they fall back on their same old tired argument, whinh is: “we don’t want anybody to have to speak french in Canada and, we want just the francophone to be bilingual, if they want to have a decent job in Canada, and in Québec.
That will never wash , it’s unconstitutional and nobody wants to open up constitutional talks except Québec and a few of you.
Thanks Highlander for the following:
“Hey Cory ,

Well, what can one expect? Like I said and believe, most of them are Canadiens through and through – but they do want a French Canada, I think anyways. For me, I don’t care so long as I get a fair shot at the piece of the pie., i.e: Middle Class.
The problem with the three stooge statement is that there is absolutely nothing funny about all of this. In the last 4o years, a few people have died, many have been displaced due to job loss and many more have been forced to learn French out of a social engineering project.
There is a problem with our country whenever most cannot work for their own civil service and cannot post signs in the language of their choice. I’m still wondering what is the problem with having the Franco-Ontarians and Quebecers pay their own way in regards to schools, infrastructure, etc.
It’s pitiful but I really think most of these problems would be non-existent if Napoleon hadn’t thought of Quebec as an insignificant Catholic Backwater and poured elements of the Grande Armee to defend French interests in New France.
Harry Turtledove should write something of that?
Au revoir,
Cory
Pierree, I agree with you: what is good for the good is good for the gander. And that’s why Caron lost his French language “rights” to bilingual traffic ticket claim, in Alberta Court. In Quebec traffic tickets (and everything else) is in French-only, so is in Alberta – in English-only.
An appeal to the Supreme Court, however, was not about his French language rights, but about funding for the interim costs of proceedings before the provincial court. The SCC upheld the Alberta Queen’s Bench decision in the positive.
Here is is a crash course for you re language regime in Alberta:
■English is the official language of Alberta.
■The use of French is permitted in legislative proceedings and before certain courts. The right to use French before certain courts does NOT guarantee the right to be understood in that language.
■All acts and regulations are enacted, printed and published in English.
Oh pierre, pierre, give me a freaking break! How many times did I post a link to a CTV article (ctv montreal no less!) asking your pal stella a simple question? You can go and count if you’d like, and then tell me who reads what. Do I go around insulting folks in a different tongue? Look in the mirror silly. I think it’s time to change names again. lol
PS I read everything. Even the crap that makes me nauseous. If you are not willing to look at both sides of any argument/debate/situation how can possibly form an educated opinion?
” “we don’t want anybody to have to speak french in Canada and, we want just the francophone to be bilingual, if they want to have a decent job in Canada, and in Québec.”
No one has ever said this!! What colour is the sky in your world pierre?
@ Bella-B
If the other side NEVER has a legitimate arguement to look at
Well??????
But what’s the point?
When the other side of the arguement is rooted in sarcasisms, mocking, inflamatory statements and nonsense eg. **s** etc.
Why on earth would any reasonable ,intelligent person even waste one iota of time or energy on them
If one was to show their rants to an outsider, the outsider, as one said to me, would be totally oblivious to their rants.
They simply don’t exist, because they say nothing.
Oh Come on Leo. There wouldn’t be almost nine hundred comments on this story if nobody made a little fun of your nonsense now and then. I think a one-sided b!tch-fest would get pretty boring pretty soon even for you. Well, maybe not.
There are mountains to level and valleys to fill!
Fight on!
@ Edudyorlik et al
The traffic ticket incident is just another reminder of the anti-English sentiment in quebec.
If anyone gets a parking ticket, as a friend of mine did , the situtation changes.
My friend did not pay it, this was 8 years ago. No consequences;
The reason being that it is not a moving violation. Also city computers are not hooked up to provincial offense computers. So when you renew your license, there is no record of you receiving a parking ticket from out of province.
Moving violations, are recorded in provincial computers only.
I do my best never, ever to go into quebec, although I still have family and friends there.
It is inhospitable and , quite frankly, different in culture, mannerisms , and very for the most part, people are downright rude.
For the intelligent blogers here,( edudyorlik, Ken, highlander, Eric, Bella-B, rosie, Cory et al)
Can anyone tell me how to pass on to US businesss web sites and U.S. tourist sites the messages and laws that exist in quebec.
I believe that these U.S. citizens and business people would be very interested to know facts like:
1) The free experession of English is outlawed in quebec ( Business and education)
2) Tickets are not allowed to written in English
3) People have been attacked for speaking English in quebec
4) MTC ( Montreal public transportation people) bus drivers and ticket takers, will not speak English
5) Para- medics have refused care for a child because they were English
6) English rights demostrations are met with violence from the french zealots.
7) There are language police that go around measuring English signs and lettering. If a sign is found to be in English, they are fined and or their business licences could be revoked
8) that Wal-mart, gap and best buy are currently in court fighting the use of English for their trade mark names.
9) the current quebec separatist government plans to tightened the current anti- English laws.
10) Hospitals routinely refuse to speak English to patients ( Vedun General and Hotel Dieu, and st Luc to name but a few.
11) Canadian flags are literally walked on and direspected.
We all can add our personal experiences as well as many docuemented cases that will add to this list I’am sure.
It would be nice to complie this and send to the businesses throught the U.S. and to the various tourists agencies to make people aware of the laws of the land in quebec.
If anyone can suggest how to get this going and who to contact in the U.S., it would be appreciated.
Perhaps the videos already done ( Edudyorlik) can be a staring point and forwarded to the proper authorities in the U.S. Re: business and tourism.
If is for the reasons listed above, that Canadians do not want forced bilingualism as well as being associated with any culture, for now housed within our borders, that we want nothing to do with and quite frankly an embarrassment to freedom loving Canadians and decent people eveerywhere.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer, Leo!
How would one know if a poster was full of crap or right on the money if one doesn’t know the whole story? There are always two sides, the right side and the wrong side. If one doesn’t know the whole story how does one know which side of the debate they fall on? And honestly, if one doesn’t read all the posts, how can one rebut the hyperbole and make believe the opposition puts out there?
For exmple, there was the story about a poster at the Costco in Ontario who got their panties in a bunch because the employee refused to speak french, and got a little obnoxious with said poster. Said poster then went to managment, complained, and then danced a jig learning the employee was fired. The story changed a little after questioning, the pride toned down, and maybe she was fired or maybe she just wasn’t working the next week he was there. Or there was the one about the friend of another poster who came back from holidays only to find her job had been given to an anglo. When posters offered help and support for said fired friend, I believe the answer was “lol”. (Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong fellow poster who likely won’t)
If you don’t read it all, you miss the gems, Leo. I live for the gems! They brighten my day.

Yep……I guess one is to assume that most civil service employees are from another country…..interesting!!!
As for the language on signs…….there is really no problem, at least in SG and many other places things are just dandy!!! NO PROBLEMO!!!!
@ Bella-b
With all due respect bella-b, reading the posts is one thing, responding to rants is another.
One knows if the posts are true by the credability of source.
The “fraud squuad’ ,ed, stella and Pierre, have never ever provided any crediable source for anything they state.
Lets start with ed, he rants about pots and pans, mocks bloggers and goes on and on to inflame people.
all he is doing is trying to get under people’s skin. He even went so far as to laugh at Ken and mock him for loosing his job.
He is an easy read
How can anyone take him seriously? its nonsesnse.
Stella, talks and talks, about peace, love, one country, signs are not important, blah blah blah.
She refuses to answer direct pertinent questions with direct responses backed by fact. So again, why would any one respond to her silliness.
Pierre, he actually believes he proves his rants. Except, the proof is shallow, He relies on info web sites (English school board of Montres) for figues ,newscasts that are based on innunendo, and never ever, substanicates his facts with any of the following;
1) Primary sources and /or Historical docuements
Et al.
He even stated that upper and lower Canada had prime ministers. They didn’t they had british govenors.
He also stated, that since inception canada has been designated as bilingual. NOT TRUE
He is painfully unaware of canada’s history.
He has no knowledge of articles 93 a and b of the BNA act and no understanding of the treaties of Paris 1763, The Quebec act 1774 and the constituional act of 1791.
All of these treaties played an intregal role of where we are today .
He does not know bill 101 or its implications and its specific intent, as laid out by camille |Laurin, its author
He still believes it is constituional. It has been struck down by the supreme court, reignited and overriddeen by the NOTWITHSTANDING CLAUSE, therefore this clause has superceeded the constitution.
When Ken, highlander, edudyorlik, eric, tap tap rosie, helga et al, respond IT IS BACKED UP BY VIDEO, HISTORICAL FACT OR PRIMARY SOURCES. That is why they are crediable.
Just look at differences in posts and how they are presented.
So bella-b, its your choice to respond, I choose not to respond for the reasons listed, above.
I prefer to channel my energies to positive people who can make suggestions and an action plan to thwart forced bilingualism and get quebec out of Canada forever
With respect,
Leo
leo wrote:
1) The free experession of English is outlawed in quebec ( Business and education)
This is Ontario…..the majority here don’t care what is happening in Quebec
2) Tickets are not allowed to written in English
If that is true…..cough cough, the numbers when written numerically are the same in French or english….what part of $150.00 don’t you understand?
5) Para- medics have refused care for a child because they were english……….PLEASE!!! LOL OMG…….the bs is unbelievable
10) Hospitals routinely refuse to speak English to patients ( Vedun General and Hotel Dieu, and st Luc to name but a few.
Oh OK…..highly doubtful LOL
8) that Wal-mart, gap and best buy are currently in court fighting the use of English for their trade mark names.
Of course they are going to fight it…….they are big corporations and their trade mark is known around the world, one can’t compare them to smaller businesses **s**
leo again wrote: I believe that these U.S. citizens and business people would be very interested to know facts like:
Yes I am sure the US citizens are dying to know the facts, what the h#ll do they care………..LOL too funny. Thinking corrections are in order before you send those facts abroad…..you may get nailed for falsifying the real true facts **smile**
The FRAUD SQUAD makes up lots of BS stories here. A Costco employee in Ontario was supposedly fired for “refusing” to speak French to a customer?…lol. Never knew Costco stores are officially bilingual and all their cashiers must speak French.
leo our fearless leader wrote: When Ken, highlander, edudyorlik, eric, tap tap rosie, helga et al, respond IT IS BACKED UP BY VIDEO, HISTORICAL FACT OR PRIMARY SOURCES. That is why they are crediable.
Like I said before, anyone with a webcam can make a video and can say whatever they want to TRY and embellish their stance……LOL
As for historical facts…..they seem to be always taken from anti- french sites and so many times were proven false.
As for Primary sources……the same as above, anti-french sites where the the scenarios are blown out of proportion to the point if it wasn’t so pathetic it would be funny.
@ awaken anglo Jan 5, 2:09 pm. and clan
You’ve been awaken by the wrong side, the side to whom their nightmares are real.
I don’t think you were around in mid Dec. when Iris McLean pulled a little prank on the clan and invented and posted the most impossible, and ridiculous story of abuse, he said, he had just lived true, in la Belle Province. A story that anybody, with no more than one iota of good sense, would have seen through.
But the clan, blinded by hate, or course, did’nt. They wanted the story, to be true, so bad, as it would have given them, even more reason, to blackball Québec.
I told them ” Hey folks, he’s just pulling your led, it’s not true”. But they wanted it to true, so much, they kept asking him to conform it. I had to tell them again ” Folks, it’s not true, he’s just pulling
your leg!”
We never heard of Iris McLean again but, look, I can see him, in my crystal ball, laughfing his head off.
The moral of this story is: “Hate will drive people to the lowest deeps”
And, the story also proves that Pierre, is a good guy who, did ‘nt just fall of the turnip truck.
Now, as to your post.
I don’t understand what you mean by, that’s why Caron lost his
french language”rights” to bilingual trafic ticket claim in Alberta court.
But you and leo and edudyorlik of course, are again condemning Québec without any kind of facts. Nothing but earsay.
I have a parking ticket, here in my hand. I got it on 2012-10-19-14:32 in Gatineau sector, territoire 1. No. 504 387 564.
Each word, each sentense and each paragraph is in french, then in english.
Just another bit of poof that officially french Québec is bilingual, and it’s anglophone minority is the most pampered minority, in the world.
I would be ashamed, to be exposed so often as, willing to sink to the lowest deeps, to have readers believe their worst nightmare about Québec and Canada.
I wonder, if it’s too late, for you, to open your eyes to reality?
I hope so!
PS. Hope you won’t mind, I corrected your error in the spelling of your name AWAKEN ANGLO looks much more awake.
I see the propagandist is at it again!
Fraud sqaud -wow how appropriate, not to worry they have no credibility ,
what you think folks do you think these fools have credibility?
It’s really a simple yes or no ,your turn.
OK. In all seriousness and sincerely, I offer my advice to those involved in this cause.
First, you need a slogan or “tag” that people will remember. The “Idle No More” tag is working really well for that cause. I wouldn’t suggest “French No More” but yous should put your heads together and come up with a catchy slogan using four words or less.
Second, you need a cause that most Canadians will get behind. I can’t help yous there for obvious reasons. I think most Canadians would put bilingualism at about 19 in the top 20 things to worry about. The 20th one would be how much hydro we use to post BS on the net.
Fight On!
Leo, if you do not rebut the lies they tell, people will believe them and never learn the truth.
And I say this with all due respect, by pointing out pierre’s errors to me, you have in fact responded to his posts. oops. lol
@ Bella- B
See, I told you
@ Bella_ B
As for substanication regarding my post:
If people wish to appeal or question the law How can They?
Obviously Mr, Caron thought it important enough to sue the Alberta government over a ticket that was entiely in English
What does Pierre say, whats good for the goose, is good for the gander, this ia a really great ENGLISH expression, isn’t it ?
Para-Medics refuse to care for a child because he is English:
Please go to Tristian Hopper article, national Post. Ovt 23 rd 2012
Hospitals that refused English service
2003 Mrs. Norah Kearney Verdun general room 514
St Luc. Mrs. E Hamoui Sept 2006
Hotel Dieu Mr. Eddy Quinto Jan 2008
There is a long long list sll can be verified if need be.
As for the coporate law suites, Large multi-nationals such as Wal_mart ,gap and best buy, thought the law important enough to take the government to court.
As for U.S. Businesses caring about language in quebec, you better believe they care.
Companies do not want to be sullied by discriminatory laws.
Pauline Marois, just recently went ot New York top soliciate business, at the NYSTC show.
There, were no takers, I wonder why? Is it possible the word has gone out RE; Wal Mart, gap and Best BUY
like I said bella_B I can back up statements that can be independantly substanciated. There are no deceptions here
This is why I never, ever respond directly to the fraud squad.
Regards, bella-b

Leo ,
Great info -your info is just the tip of the “iceberg”most don’t complain, but they will remember ,myself having been discriminated on numerous occasions will never forget .
I will not allow myself to sit quietly back as this eventually happens to my future generations ,silence does mean consent!
How many “good “people sat back and did nothing as others were mistreated because of color ,race ,religion and the list goes on except language in Canada.
To do nothing and watch discrimination means you consent to it ,yes it takes a strong human being to speak up ,but what if that discrimination was /is happening to YOU!
Interesting that there were no takers to Pauline Marois bite on her recent trip to the US to entice American business, despite substantial provincial subsidies to foreign investment. Apparently, nobody wants to be involved with Quebec French language cr@ap.
ED was Iris Mclean
People took pity on Iris ,and Ed took pleasure in the deception and his ability to antagonize others ,once again Ed taking pleasure in the pain and suffering of others .
People were concerned but shortly after realized it was a hoax because of the absurdity in the story as the continued response from Iris.
Yet Ed enjoyed taking advantage of the generosity of others who had empathy for that Iris and had been genuinely concerned for her well being and potentially others .
We had all been taken because of our good nature and this was not the first time from the french zealots and I am sure it will not be the last ,you have not changed our good nature to other human beings .
Simply despicable to take advantage of others generosity of empathy.
I think Bella and Leo are getting “involved”.
Yous guys should stay focused on the mission!
There’s no tolerance for fraternizing within the ranks.
Bella-b, you and some other passionate posters presume other people stupid to see the FRAUD SQUAD’s cr@p. Only you can see it, right? Others, however, are from Mars and have no idea what’s going on.
@ Bella_b
If you read the bottom of my last post I said” That is why I never respond DIRECTLY to the fraud squad”
I only only lend creedance when inaccuracies are posted.
This is another medium to show one and all the emptiness of their posts.
Regards,
Leo
@ Highlander
great insight into “iris ( its really me eddy baby) Mclean”
Nice to know pierre, is aware that IRIS CALL ME EDDY , has never been heard from since.
next time, lets not make it so evident
Thanks,
Highlander
Does the fraud squad, not realize that “DENIAL” is not just a river in Egypt ?
gee, it seems to me that Leo, took every arguement laid out by stella and destroyed her, without:
a) talking to her directly
b) Didn’t insult her ( him or whatever)
c) she has no comeback. only to say info came from anti-french sites.
If so Please name them stella and tell us your sites you go to ,to refute leo’s facts
Boy, talk about being bankrupt of facts!!!!!!
@ leo
There you go exagerating again.
The paramedic did not refuse to care for the child. He refused to speak english to the the father. The child was treated well and recovered perfectly.
I think it was you who said that Wallmart,
Cosco, etc were taking the government to court because the government wanted them to change their names. That also was an exageration. The government just wants some french on the signs to show that they understand that they are serving a francophone clientelle. An issue of respect. I think the government will win this one, but it’s only a detail. Amatter of respecting the costomer.
@ Ed
What would you think of “The nightmare clan”.
I think it tells it all.
