The clinic was founded in August 2012 by Dr. Kylie Draper and Dr. Joel Leger (born and raised in Cornwall). According to Dr. Leger, “It is the clinics primary focus to help maintain and improve the health of the people of Cornwall and surrounding area by providing exceptional integrated health care services in both French and English”.
The team believes that clear communication and patient education are imperative to providing first-rate patient care. According to co-owner Dr. Kylie Draper “when a patient understands their injury they are better equipped to deal with their injury. This can lead to quicker recovery times, better coping strategies and prevention of future re-injury”. It is the mission of the Cornwall Spine Care Plus team to work with each patient as both his or her advisor and teammate to ensure the best care possible. It is this model of care that makes the clinic the success it is today. Patients are impressed with the level of care they receive and the clear doctor-patient communication.
