WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Richard Ricard, 31 of Newington, Ontario was arrested on January 8th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on December 6th, 2012 a general warrant of committal was issued for drive while under suspension. On January 8th, 2013 he was arrested by the Ontario Provincial Police and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division. He was held was placed in detention.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT & BREACH
Cornwall, ON- A 44-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on January 8th, 2013. She was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on January 8th, 2013 she got into an altercation with her 39-year-old ex-husband when she assaulted him. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Domestic Assault and Breach of Probation Order. She was released to appear in court on February 12th, 2013. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.
IMPAIRED OPERATION & OVER 80
Cornwall, ON- Cemlyn Owen, 40 of Cornwall was arrested on January 8th, 2013. It is alleged that shortly after 7:00 pm on January 8th, 2013 he was operating a motor vehicle on Vincent Massey Drive while being under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for Impaired Operation and was transported for further testing which resulted in a charge of Over 80. He was released to appear in court on January 22nd, 2013.
DOMESTIC THREAT & CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON- A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 8th, 2013. It is alleged that between May 1st, 2012 and May 16th, 2012 he uttered threats to cause harm to his 25-year-old ex-wife. It is also alleged that since November 2012, he has been continuously harassing her. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Utter Threats to cause harm and Criminal Harassment. He was held in custody until court the following day.
STOLEN VEHICLE

WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Pierre Paul Lalonde, 44 of Saint Therese, Quebec was arrested on January 7th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that between September 22nd, 2011 and September 7th, 2012, he fraudulently obtained funds from several local business by offering advertisement. The advertisement was not provided. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 4 counts of Fraud under $5000 and 4 counts of Theft by Conversion. He was held in custody until court later that day.
MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON- A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on January 7th, 2013. It is alleged that she got into an altercation with her mother when she caused damaged to the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with Mischief under $5000 and released to appear in court on February 7th, 2013. The youth’s name was not released as per a provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
KIDNAPPING & ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 29-year-old Akwesasne man was arrested on January 7th, 2013. It is alleged that on January 1st, 2013 he forced his 22-year-old girlfriend into a vehicle against her will and assaulted her. The victim suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Kidnapping and Domestic Assault. He was held in custody until later that day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.
IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80 & BREACH
Cornwall, ON- Stephane Landry, 46 of Cornwall was arrested on January 7th, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and abstain from the purchase possession consumption of alcohol or other intoxication substances. It is alleged that shortly before 8:00 pm on January 7th, 2013 he was operating a motor vehicle on Crescent View Drive while under the influence of alcohol. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle, Drive while Disqualified, 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and was transported for further testing which resulted in an additional charge of Over .80. He was released to appear in court on January 22nd, 2013.
