DRUGS & BREACH

           

Cornwall, ON- A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on January 25^th, 2013. The youth was bound by an YCJA Probation Order with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on January 25^th, 2013, he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance believed to be marijuana. The youth was charged with Possession on a Controlled substance, possession for the purpose and 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order. The youth was released to an adult with a court date of February 21^st, 2013. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

DRUG SEARCH WARRANTS EXECUTED

           

           Cornwall, ON- Members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit with assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police executed drug search warrants shortly after 11:30 am on January 25^th, 2013 at a Second Street West residence and a First Street East residence. As a result of the investigation two females were arrested and charged with 14 drug and criminal code related charges when they were allegedly found to be in possession of controlled substances. Police seized a quantity of substances believed to be cocaine, morphine, marijuana, hashish and hydromorphone. The total value of the seized drugs and property is estimated at $4000.00.

 

Chantal Lafranboise, 40 of Cornwall was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Marihuana, Possession of Hydromorphone, Possession of Hashish, Possession of Morphine and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. She was released to appear in court on February 28^th, 2013.

 

Angele, Cayer, 30 of Cornwall was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Marihuana, Possession of Hydromorphone, Possession of Hashish, Possession of Morphine and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. She was released to appear in court on February 28^th, 2013.

 

FRAUD

 

            Peggy Lazore, 42 of Akwesasne was arrested on January 25^th, 2013. It is alleged that on January 24^th, 2013 she attended a local pharmacy and altered a prescription. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Fraud under $5000 and Utter forged document. She was released to appear in court on March 5^th, 2013.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

            Cornwall, ON- A 19-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on January 25^th, 2013. It is alleged that on January 21^st, 2013 she got into an altercation with her 22-year-old ex-boyfriend when she assaulted his. He did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Domestic Assault and released to appear in court on April 9^th, 2013. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

WARRANT

            Cornwall, ON- Lance Burgess, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on January 26^th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding Probation Warrant. It is alleged that between September 19^th, 2012 and October 23th, 2012 he failed to comply with his conditions by failing to report to Probation and failed to provide a change of address. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

DOMESTIC BREAK & ENTER TO COMMIT ASSULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 24-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on January 26^th, 2013. It is alleged that on January 26^th, 2013 upon walking in front of a residence she observed her 27-year-old ex-boyfriend throw the window. She gained entry to the residence and assaulted he ex-boyfriend’s 16-year-old girlfriend. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Break & Enter to Commit Assault. She was released to appear in court on March 5^th, 2013. Her name was not released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested n January 27^th, 2013. It is alleged that on during the early hours of January 27^th, 2013 he got into an altercation with his 32-year-old common-law wife when he assaulted her. The victim suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault and held in custody until court later that day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

 

BREACHES

Cornwall, ON- Taylor Maxam, 21 and Krista Arial, 20 both of Cornwall were arrested on January 27^th, 2013. They were both bound by an Undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate directly or indirectly with each other and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour as well as notify police of any change of address. It is alleged that on December 24th, 2012 and on January 1^st, 2013 they were found to be together therefore breaching their conditions. On January 27^th, 2013 police located them together. They were both charged accordingly and held in custody until court the following day.

 

Cornwall, ON- Laura Gordon, 31 of Cornwall was arrested on January 28^th, 2013. She was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions to reside at a certain address and notify Cornwall Police of any change of address and to appear in person to the bail supervision program on January 16^th, 2013. It is alleged that on January 16^th, 2013 and January 22^nd, 2013, she failed to report. She was charged with 2 counts of Fail to comply with Undertaking and held in custody until court later that day.

 

Cornwall, ON- Meagan Brownlee, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on January 28^th, 2013. She was bound by a Recognizance with the conditions to not have any contact directly or indirectly with a certain person. It is alleged that on January 27^th, 2013 she was observed with that certain person. She was charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and held in custody until court later that day.
