The City of Cornwall announced that Mr. Richard McCullough has been named the new Fire Chief of the Cornwall Fire Department, effective immediately.
“I’m pleased to welcome Mr. McCullough as the new Fire Chief,” said CAO Norm Levac. “Mr. McCullough has been a member of the Cornwall Fire Department for over 30 years, and he brings an extensive amount of knowledge and leadership to this position.”
Now in his 34th year of service with the Cornwall Fire Department, Mr. McCullough was appointed Deputy Chief in January 2009, and he has been serving as Acting Fire Chief since April 2012.
“I’m very fortunate to have held every rank in the Suppression Division of the Cornwall Fire Department. This provides me with a unique perspective of the requirements and challenges of each position,” said Mr. McCullough. “I’m looking forward to working with the Firefighters, Administration and Council to give the citizens of Cornwall the best fire service possible.”
