CFN – It was the last day of summer as far as the Summer Company is concerned and we had 4 different vendors who participated in the program attending the market. In the picture above we have Crystal Primeau, Crystals Bowtique, mugging for the camera with Hager Kassab, Vibrant Vinyl, laughing in the background. I also interview Kaitlin Morris, Kait’s Cakes, but the fourth member of the Summer Company, Victoria Cotnam of Little Bird Sewing, was strangely evasive. Actually Victoria appeared to be very busy and I just missed my photo opportunities due to having to attend to my own customers.
The Summer Company’s companies brought an exciting presence to the market this year. Their youthful energy and business visions kept our market fresh and hopeful for the future. Some of this year’s vendors may be back next year and we will probably have some new vendors from the Summer Company. It will be interesting to see what they bring to the Long Sault Farmer’s Market next summer.
Our student vendors may be finished for the year but the rest of us will still be there every Friday afternoon, rain or shine, from 2 PM to 6 PM until October 11. For the best locally grown produce, bakery items, canned goods, fudge and chocolate, coffee and Thai food come visit the Long Sault Farmer’s Market on the grass in front of the shopping centre in Long Sault.
