What is going on? Why was Paul Bazinet released so quickly after he was charged with the above offences? Don’t you think his criminal charges warrant a closer look at the community’s safety, perhaps he should of been held in custody so our kids can be safe. What a load of garbage!!
Personally I have always had difficulty with the way in which our (in)justice systems deals with these dregs of society. The usual sentence is a suspended sentence accompanied with a standard order to stay a certain distance from schools, parks, etc. At least that has been my experience with the cases that I have followed. In the last couple of weeks an international roundup occurred and approximately 350 individuals world wide were charged with child pornography, 150 were Canadians. Within a short period of the charges being announced it was already speculated that most would likely receive, surprise, surprise, a suspended sentence. Watch and see.
