Drugs in Cornwall Murder in Ottawa – Police Blotter for April 10, 2014 OPP OPS CPS

Cornwall, ON – On April 9th, 2014 members of the Cornwall Street Crime Unit assisted by the Cornwall Emergency Response Team executed a drug warrant at a Carleton Street address and took Sandy MacFarlane,52 and Samantha Butcher,39 both of Cornwall into custody and charged them as  with the follows:

 

·         Possession of Marihuana

·         Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana

·         Possession of Cocaine

·         Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine

·         Possession of Oxycodone

·         Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Oxycodone

·         Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

 

It is alleged that as a result of the warrant the following was located and seized:

 

·         Cocaine – 5.2g with a street value of $520.00

·         Marihuana – 205.6g with a street value of $2056.00

·         Oxycodone – 36 pills with a street value of $180.00

·         A quantity of  Canadian and US Currency

 

Total Street Value of Drugs: $ 2756.00

 

David Campbell, 41 of Cornwall was also taken into custody for breaching his recognizance for associating with someone known to have a criminal record and someone known to use or sell drugs.

All three were held in custody for a bail hearing on April 10th, 2014.

(North Dundas) – On 09Apr14, at approximately 10:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Crowder Road, North Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that a male and his 39yr old spouse were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the female assaulting the male.

She was arrested and faces a charge of:

– Assault

She is scheduled to appear 15Apr14 in Cornwall court.
CHARGES LAID

(North Glengarry) – On 09Apr14, at approximately 11:30am, SD&G OP officers responded to a report of an unwanted person on Main St. Alexandria, On.

The investigation revealed that a 29yr old female (from Terrebonne, QC) failed to leave a premise when directed to do so, the female was also in possession (small amount) of suspected marihuana.

She was arrested and faces charges of:

– Poss. of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana
– Resist Peace Officer
– Fail to Leave Premises when directed

She was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, April 9, 2014      11:14am

 

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Section has charged a woman with the January 2014 murder of 43 year old Jagtar Gill.

Gurpreet RONALD, 34 years old of Ottawa, has been charged with first-degree murder.

No further information will be released at this time, as this is an ongoing investigation.
