DRUG WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – As the result of a drug warrant that was executed by the Cornwall Street Crime Unit on May 9th, 2014 at a Louisa Street address a quantity of drugs was located and seized. The following persons from Cornwall were charged with a number of drug offences.
Paul Kameka, 35 yrs of age:
- Possession of hydromorphone
- Possession of fentanyl
- Possession of marijuana
- Breach of probation
Daniel Roach, 34 yrs of age:
- Possession of cocaine
- Possession of methamphetamine
- Possession of hydromorphone
- Possession of hash
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
Toshena Hill, 25 years of age:
- Possession of cocaine
- Possession of methamphetamine
- Possession of hydromorphone
- Possession of hash
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
All three individuals were taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 3rd, 2014.
ATTEMPT MURDER
Cornwall, ON – Ryan Flanagan, 39 of Cornwall was arrested on May 10th, 2014 and charged with attempt murder. It is alleged that on May 9th, 2014 police were dispatched to a Gardner Avenue home in relation to a possible stabbing. Once on scene it was learned that during an argument Flanagan stabbed a 50-year-old man several times. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious, but none life threatening injuries. Flanagan was taken into custody after a couple of hours of negotiations as he had originally refused to leave his residence. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
TRESPASS BY NIGHT, CONCEALED WEAPON, BREACH, POSSESSION, TRAFFICKING
Cornwall, ON – Taylor Bergeron, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on May 10th, 2014 and charged with:
- Trespass by night
- Possession of property obtained by crime
- Carrying a concealed weapon
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of break and enter tools
- Breach of recognizance for not residing at a specified address, being in the possession of drugs and carrying a weapon,
It is alleged that in the early morning hours of May 10th, 2014 while responding to a suspicious person call in the in the area of Frances Ann Avenue, police located the man carrying what was believed to be stolen property. Upon speaking with the man police found him to be concealing a BB handgun. He was taken into custody and during this time he was also found to be in possession of a substance believed to be marihuana, break in tools and the stolen property. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 11th, 2014 and charged with mischief. It is alleged that on May 11th, 2014 during an argument with his 29-year-old ex-girlfriend at her residence he threw his cell phone at a window causing the window to break. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 11th, 2014 and charged with assault. It is alleged that on May 11th, 2014 the woman who was the passenger of a vehicle travelling on Thirteenth Street was seen punching her 20-year-old boyfriend who was driving the vehicle. Police were called and an investigation ensued. During their investigation they took the woman into custody and charged her accordingly. She was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

(North Dundas) – On 10May14, at approximately 10:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on County Road 3, North Dundas Township.
The investigation revealed that a 24yr old male (from South Dundas) had run his vehicle into another vehicle on County Road 3, North Dundas in attempt to get the male driver to stop. The vehicle ended up going off the road and sustained minor damage.
The 24yr old male later turned himself into police and faces charges of:
– Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
– Assault
– Mischief Endangering Life
– Utter Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm
He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
(South Glengarry) – On 11May14, at approximately 05:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township
The investigation revealed that a female and her 39yr old husband were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female.
He was arrested and faces charges of:
– Assault – Spousal
– Mischief – Domestic
He is scheduled to appear 10Jun14 in Cornwall court.
(South Glengarry) – On 11May14, at approximately 7:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a threating incident on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township.
The investigation revealed that a female received a threatening call from her ex-boyfriend.
The 37yr old male (Cornwall, On) was located and faces a charge of:
– Uttering Threats – Damage Property
He is scheduled to appear 27May14 in Cornwall court.
TRAFFIC STOP NETS DRUGS
(South Glengarry) – On 10May14, at approximately 08:00am, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township.
The stop resulted in the seizure (small amount) of suspected marihuana. The 37yr old male driver (Naveed Riaz KHAN of Toronto, On) and his 28yr old male passenger (Adnan Mahmood ABBASI of Brampton, On) were arrested and face a charge of:
– Poss. of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana
Both men are scheduled to appear 09Jul14 in Alexandria court.
