Cornwall, ON – Lindsay Archambeault, 20 and Brandon Busch, 22 both of Cornwall were arrested on September 5th, 2014 on the strength of warrants. It is alleged that both failed to attend court on September 2nd, 2014 and warrants were issued for their arrest. On September 5th, 2014 they were spotted by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service in the area of Eastcourt Mall. They were taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.

 

FAIL TO PROVIDE, BREACH, THREATS, ASSAULT POLICE

 

Cornwall, ON – Troy Ullman, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on September 6th, 2014 and charged with fail to provide breath sample, obstruct police, two counts assault police, three counts of threats to life and breach of undertaking for consuming alcohol and breach of recognizance for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on September 6th, 2014 during a traffic stop in the area of Second Street and Cumberland Street the man ran from police and after a brief foot chase was then taken into custody. The man also refused to provide a sample of his breath to police. He was transported to police headquarters and while at the station pushed two separate officers and threatened to shoot three officers. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED DRIVERS
(South Dundas) – On September 5, 2014 at approximately 10:04pm, an SD&G OPP officer had the occasion to stop a vehicle on Carman Road in the Village of Iroquois, South Dundas Township. The stop revealed the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Kevin WHEELER (53) of South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired
– Driving With More Than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
– Driving Motor Vehicle With Open Container of Liquor (Liquor Licence Act)

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on September 30, 2014.

 

(South Stormont) –  On September 6, 2014 at approximately 7:40am, an SD&G OPP officer had the occasion to stop a vehicle on Highway 401, South Stormont Township following a report of a traffic complaint. The stop revealed the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol. Further information also indicated the male was in breach of conditions imposed from a previous incident.

Amos SMART (21) of Dollard Des Ormeaux, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired
– Driving With More Than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
– Breach of Recognizance (3 counts)

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on October 18, 2014.

 

(South Dundas) – On September 6, 2014 at approximately 5:27pm, an SD&G OPP officer had the occasion to stop a vehicle on Maple Street in the Village of Iroquois, South Dundas Township, following a report of a traffic complaint. The stop revealed the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Dennis PIAMONTE (59) of South Dundas was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired
– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with More Than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on September 30, 2014.

 

(North Glengarry) – On September 6, 2014 at approximately 11:30pm, SD&G OPP officers were conducting Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (RIDE) checks at the intersection of County Road 43 and Dornie Road, North Glengarry Township. Officers observed a vehicle avoid the initiative. The vehicle was intercepted a short distance away and a check of the adult male driver revealed he was under the influence of alcohol.

Jesse MCRAE (24) of Grenville, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired
– Driving With More Than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on October 1, 2014.

 

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATIONS
(South Glengarry) – On September 5, 2014 at approximately 3:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to report of a domestic situation at a residence on County Road 27, South Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed that a male had been harassing (via telephone/text) his ex-spouse. Further information indicated that in previous incidents, he had assaulted the female and caused mischief in the home.

The 31 year old male (from South Glengarry) was arrested and is charged with;

– Harassing Telephone Calls
– Assault
– Mischief
– Fail to Comply With Conditions (2 counts)

He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

 

(South Stormont) – On September 5, 2014 at approximately 9:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to report of a domestic situation at a residence on Highway 138, South Stormont Township. Investigation revealed that a male had been harassing his ex-spouse. Further information indicated that in previous incidents, he had assaulted the female and caused mischief in the home. Firearms were also observed improperly stored.

The 31 year old male (from South Stormont) was arrested and is charged with;

– Criminal Harassment
– Mischief (2 counts)
– Assault
– Breach of Firearms Regulation (2 counts)

He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

 

DRUGS SEIZED
(North Glengarry) – On September 7, 2014 at approximately 8:30am, SD&G OPP officers had the occasion to check a vehicle on Boundary Road West in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected Ecstasy (pills) and marihuana.

The male driver, Dominique RIEL (33) of Maniwaki, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on October 1, 2014.

 

WOMAN CHARGED IN BREAK-IN
(North Glengarry) – On September 7, 2014 at approximately 2:45pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break-in at a residence on Concession 10, North Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed the home owner had confronted a female in the residence. She fled on foot but was apprehended by officers in the Village of Glen Robertson. During her arrest, a quantity of suspected methamphetamine was seized.
Susan LACOMBE (52) of North Glengarry is charged with;

– Break, Enter and Theft
– Possession of a Controlled Substance

She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on October 29, 2014.

 

BREAK-IN
(North Glengarry) – On September5, 2014 at approximately 11:30, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break-in at a residence on Concession Road 4, North Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed that a white rental type truck with three occupants (1 female, 2 males) was observed at the property. The female is described as heavy set with blonde hair; one male was heavy set while the other was slim with tattoos on his left arm. A television and other household items were stolen from the home.
