DRIVE DISQUALIFIED
Cornwall, ON- Robert Milks, 51 of Cornwall was arrested on January 29th, 2015 and charged with drive disqualified. It is alleged that on January 29th, 2015 the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle while disqualified in the area of Cumberland Street and Timothy Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 10th, 2015.
OVERCOME RESISTANCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 30th, 2015 and charged with sexual assault, overcome resistance (choking) and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that at the beginning of January, 2015 the man sexually assaulted and choked his 19-year-old girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 30th, 2015 the man was located at his residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act as the incident took place while the man was a youth.
BREACH, TRESPASS BY NIGHT
Cornwall, ON – Geoffrey Jarvo, 41 of Cornwall was arrested on January 30th, 2015 and charged with trespass by night, breach of undertaking for being out past curfew and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of January 30th, 2015 the man was spotted going through back yards on Dover Street and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was located in the area of Brookdale Avenue and Water Street. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
OPP
MISCHIEF IN TOWN OF HAWKESBURY
(Hawkesbury, ON) The Hawkesbury OPP is investigating a series of mischief that occurred in the Town of Hawkesbury sometime between January 21st and 22nd.
Police received a multitude of calls in the morning of Thursday January 22nd, in regards to mischief that was done to vehicles and residential windows.
The investigations revealed that someone travelled around town throwing metal pellets using a slingshot or other similar apparatus, hitting vehicles and houses, consequently breaking some windows.
The matter is still under investigation.

DRUGS SEIZED AT TRAFFIC STOP
(South Glengarry) – On January 27, 2015 at approximately 11:14am, an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division (HSD) officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana.
The driver, Nicholas CARRIERE (25) of South Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cannabis Marihuana Under 30 Grams
– Speeding (Highway Traffic Act of Ontario)
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice (drug charge) in Alexandria on March 4, 2015.
