Bill who was a long time employee of Domtar of Cornwall is now retired and Ethel a registered Nurse for Omni Healthcare Wood Land Villa, literally fill their day caring and nurturing their farm family ,when asked why are you not retiring her answer is always same with a big smile, “I need to feed and house my animals”.
When chores are done, you may see them both pondering around the local auction hall or community yard sale.
So one can only imagine how devastating it was for them when their 150 year old barn that was uninsurable caught fire and burned to the ground On January 27,2015 It was heart breaking to look at those photos of them and their losses.
Many of the animals were saved and have been temporarily re homed. Sadly some did perish in the fire. It shook our community and we have since begun to rally together .
There is a urgent need for Hay Mount Feeders The Britton’s are willing to purchase these items if anyone can assist them.
