Bicycle Incident Vehicle Driver Charged – Cornwall Regional Police Blotter for FEB 17, 2015 #CCPS

FRAUD

Cornwall, ON – Laura Primeau, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on February 13th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that she failed to declare changes in her living arrangements to the Ontario Works Resource Centre between October, 2013 and April, 2014 which resulted in an overpayment of $3990.00. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for her arrest.  On February 13th, 2015 she was located at the Cornwall Courthouse, arrested on the strength of the warrant for the fraud and held in custody for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT POLICE

Cornwall, ON – Michaela Leger, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on February 13^th, 2015 and charged with assault police. It is alleged while at the hospital on February 10^th, 2015 the woman struck a police officer with an object and an investigation ensued. On February 13^th, 2015 the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Petra Decle, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on February 14^th, 2015 and charged with breaching her recognizance for having consumed alcohol. It is alleged that on February 14^th, 2015 police were called to a disturbance in the area of Carleton Street and Walton Street and found the woman to be under the influence of alcohol despite being on conditions not to consume alcohol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held in custody.

IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Esther Cuthbertson, 50 of Cornwall was arrested on February 15^th, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged that on February 15^th, 2015 the woman was operating a motor vehicle in the area of Nick Kaneb Drive while under the influence of alcohol when she struck a cyclist and a pedestrian. Police were contacted to attend the scene and took the woman into custody. She was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on February 24^th, 2015. Both the cyclist and the pedestrian were treated for undisclosed injuries.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 15^th, 2015 and charged with mischief. It is alleged that during an argument with his 30-year-old girlfriend on February 15^th, 2015 the man threw her car keys onto a neighbour’s roof and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 16^th, 2015. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Kristeen Hillworth, 22 of Long Sault was arrested on February 15^th, 2015 and charged with assault. It is alleged that on February 14^th, 2015 while at a local bar the woman pushed a 20-year-old man that was known to her and police were later contacted to investigate. On February 15^th, 2015 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 17^th, 2015.
