As a result of a recent seizure of cocaine, the Toronto Police Drug Squad got involved in an investigation into the importation of cocaine from the United States to Canada through the use of transport trailers.
It is alleged that:
– this shipment of cocaine entered Canada through an Alberta land border crossing contained within a transport trailer.
– officers seized 36 kilos of cocaine and a quantity of methamphetamine holding an estimated street value of 3.6 million
– the drugs were destined for the streets of Toronto
Two of the markings found on the cocaine resemble a star and a dolphin, a third marking was unrecognizable.
