Cornwall Police Blotter for Thursday July 16, 2015 #CCPS

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Jennifer Gillard, 32 of Cornwall was arrested on July 15th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the woman breached her conditional sentence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On July 15th, 2015 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on July 15th, 2015 and charged with breaching her probation order for communicating with someone she has conditions not to communicate with and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on July 12th, 2015 the woman communicated with her 23-year-old ex-boyfriend by way of phone calls and police were contacted to investigate. On July 15th, 2015 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

THREATS

 

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 15th, 2015 and charged with threats to life and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man threatened to kill his 28-year-old ex-girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was located at his residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

THREATS, OVERCOME RESISTANCE

 

Dparkinson       Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 16th, 2015 and charged with threats and assault. It is alleged during an argument on July 15th, 2015 the man threatened to harm his 34-year-old wife and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation police also learned that the woman was choked on another occasion. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
