THREATS, MISCHIEF

 

Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 7th, 2015 and charged with threats and mischief. It is alleged during an argument on October 7th, 2015 with his 33-year-old ex-girlfriend the man threatened to harm her and punched her vehicle causing it to be damaged. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

BREAK AND ENTER, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS, WEAPONS DANGEREOUS, PONTING A FIREARM, UNAUTHORISED POSSESSION OF A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE

 

Cornwall, ON – Ernest Gambill, 45 of Cornwall was arrested on October 7th, 2015 and charged with break and enter, assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous, pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and threats. It is alleged on October 5th, 2015 the man entered a First Street West residence and threatened two occupants with hand gun over a property dispute. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 7th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

 

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Michael Witherden, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on October 10th, 2015 on the strength of outstanding warrants for break and enter, mischief, assault and breach of recognizance. On October 10th, 2015 a member of the Cornwall Community police Service attended the Quinte Detention Center as the male was being held in custody. He was taken into custody by Cornwall on the strength of the warrants, transported to Cornwall and held for a bail hearing.

 

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

 

Cornwall, ON – Adrienne Cook, 27 of Akwesasne was arrested on October 10th, 2015 and charged with impaired operation and over 80. It is alleged on October 10th, 2015 the woman was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol when she was stopped at the port of entry. Police were contacted and took the woman into custody. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 20th, 2015.

 

 

Cornwall, ON – Cobretti Jock, 19 of Hogansburg was arrested on October 11th, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on October 11th, 2015 the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Pitt Street and First Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 20th, 2015.

 

THREATS, ASSAULT, RESIST, THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Rebecca Dillabaugh, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on October 11th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000, assault, threats, resist arrest and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and being in possession of alcohol. It is alleged the woman attended a Second Street store and removed property making no attempt to pay for it a she left the store. The woman assaulted and threatened a staff member when she was confronted about the theft and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody after a brief struggle, charged according and released to appear in court on November 19th, 2015.

 

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Brian Colburne, 23 of no fixed address was arrested on October 11th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man was wanted by Cornwall Community Police Service for breaching his recognizance and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 11th, 2015 the man was spotted at a local store by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

 

Cornwall, ON – Frederick Delorme, 51 of Cornwall was arrested on October 8th, 2015 and charged with possession of cocaine. It is alleged on October 8th, 2015 police attended a Pitt Street business for and unwanted person. Once on scene police took the intoxicated man into custody for a provincial offence and found him to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 10th, 2015.

 

SEXUAL ASSAULT, OVERCOME RESISTANCE, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Kevin Bovin, 45 of Cornwall was arrested on October 8th, 2015 and charged with sexual assault, overcome resistance, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and breach of two undertakings for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between October 5th, 2015 and October 6th, 2015 the man gave a stupefying drug to a 28-year-old woman known to him and sexually assaulted her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was located at his residence, taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

 

Cornwall, ON – Eric Vien, 19of Cornwall and a 17-year-old Ingleside youth were arrested on October 9th, 2015 and charged with the following:

  • Possession of marihuana
  • Possession of marihuana for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of crack cocaine
  • Possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession hydromorphone
  • Possession of hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of Xanax for the purpose of trafficking
  • Property obtained by crime ( cash)

It is alleged during a traffic stop on October 9th, 2015 the two were found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana, crack cocaine, Xanax and Hydromorphone. Both were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. The youth’s name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Sawatis Thurston, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on October 9th, 2015 and charged with breaching his recognizance for being outside his residence without his surety. It is alleged in the early morning hours of October 9th, 2015 the man was spotted breaching his conditions by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He later attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 10th, 2015.

WANTED MALE – FOUND

Robert James FOWLER


(HAWKESBURY, ON)
– The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) wants to advise the community that 36-year-old Robert James (Jamie) FOWLER, was located and arrested in the City of Vancouver, British Columbia on October 06, 2015.FOWLER had an outstanding Arrest Warrant for Sexual Assault on a child reported to police in 2014.

The accused was escorted back to Hawkesbury and detained pending a bail hearing scheduled on Tuesday October 13th, 2015 in L’Orignal.

He is charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following sections:

– 151(a) Sexual Interference with a person under 16 years of age (3 counts)

– 153(1)(a) Sexual Exploitation (3 counts)

– 271 Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age (3 counts)

Russell County OPP Detachment                              DATE:  October 13, 2015

(EMBRUN, ON) – The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating several incidents after responding to 232 calls for service from Sunday October 4th to Saturday October 10th.  Among these occurrences, OPP responded to 7 domestic disputes, 2 assaults, 2 drug offences and one impaired related occurrence. As a result of those occurrences, three males and one female were charged with various offences.

Domestic Disputes

OPP officers investigated 7 domestic disputes from Sunday to Saturday.  While responding to a 9-1-1 call, Police charged a 28 year old male for Uttering Threats to cause bodily harm toward them.  The accused person will not be identified to protect the identity of the victims.

Assault

Police investigated and charged a 42 year old father who assaulted his son. No injury was sustained and the names are not being release to protect the victim identity’s.

Alcohol related incident

On Thursday the 8th of October, OPP received a report of a swerving vehicle on Highway 417.  Provincial Constable Miguel Clement located the vehicle travelling westbound, west of Casselman.  The male driver had been drinking the evening before and was arrested after failing a roadside alcohol screening test.  Following breath tests at the detachment, Marc Przybylowski, aged 39 was charged with impaired driving and driving over 80mgs.  He was released on a promise to appear in court in L’Orignal on November 4.

Drug related offence

At approximately 4pm, on Friday October 9, police received information that suspicious activities involving drug were underway in Casselman.  Provincial Constable Karim Davis located a suspicious vehicle parked in the Subway parking lot. He observed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.  A total of 228 grams of Marijuana was seized. Anick Charbonneau, age 29 of Casselman was charged for Possession of a substance in Schedule II for the purpose of Trafficking – under 3 kg contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.

Traffic violation

On October 10, Provincial Constable Pierre-Etienne Campeau was conducting radar enforcement on Highway 417. He arrested and charged Deepan Chanderhekear Budlakoti, aged 25 of Ottawa for speeding 165km/h in the posted 100km/h zone on Highway 417.  The rental vehicle; a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro, was impounded and his driver licences was suspended.

OPP SEEK WITNESSES AFTER SUSPECT FLEES HOME BREAK AND
                   ENTER.
(Town of Perth, ON) – Officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are seeking the assistance of the community in the current and ongoing investigation of break and enter to a home in the Town of Perth, Tuesday 13th October 2015.

Shortly after 6.00am the 86 year old female occupant of a home on Victoria Street, Town of Perth awoke to find a man standing near her bed. The man fled the scene.

No injury occurred.

Suspect is described as:

Male / 18 to 25 years old / 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall / Thin Build  / Dark Complexion / Short Hair (or Tucked in a Hat)  / Dark clothing.

Investigation has revealed that a neighbouring home had been broken into and property stolen.

Anyone who may have seen person(s) or a vehicle loitering in the area of Victoria Street prior to 6.00am on Tuesday 13th October or anyone on foot in the area from the Perth Arena, north to the Great War Memorial Hospital between 6.00 am and 6.30am, and anyone who may have any information in regard to this crime is asked to contact the Lanark County Detachment OPP using the toll free number  1 888 310–1122

Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [LEEDS COUNTY (Brockville)] EARLY MORNING COLLISION NETS CRIMINAL CHARGES 2015-10-09

(LEEDS, ON.) –   Officers of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing an investigation after being called to an early morning collision on the 1000 Islands Parkway.
On the 9th of October 2015 at about 6:30 AM Ontario Provincial Police officers were called to a collision on the 1000 Islands Parkway in Front of Yonge Township. Investigation revealed that a westbound vehicle crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided head on with an eastbound vehicle.
The driver of the westbound vehicle, 52 year old Stephen DARTT, of Laval Quebec was charged with Impaired Driving and Dangerous Driving. He was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division – Brockville on 6 November 2015.
Both drivers received minor injuries and did not require medical treatment. Both vehicles sustained severe damage.

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

(South Glengarry) – On October 8, 2015 at approximately 7:36pm Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers intercepted a pedestrian on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed that a male pedestrian was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident.

Karl BATES (19) of Lavaltrie, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Recognizance (4 counts)

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking

The male was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court on October 9, 2015.
