Woman Beats Man With Stick in Cornwall POLICE Blotter OCT 21, 2015 CCPS OPP

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 19th, 2015 and charged with breach of undertaking for having communicated with someone he has conditions not to communicate with and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 16th, 2015 police attended an Alice Street residence to speak with the man about an unrelated matter and found him to be in the company of the person he was not to communicate with. On October 19th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Lauzon, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on October 19th, 2015 and charged with breaching a probation order and an undertaking for not reporting a change of address and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 7th, 2015 police attempted to locate the man and found that had moved without notifying police or the probation office and an investigation ensued. On October 19th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters for an unrelated matter and was taken into custody. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 3rd, 2015.

ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 19th, 2015 and charged with assault and assault with a weapon. It is alleged during an argument on October 19th, 2015 the woman punched and struck her 22-year-old boyfriend with a piece of wood. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Sylvie Montpetit, 46 of Cornwall was arrested on October 19th, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on October 19th, 2015 the woman was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol when it collided with another vehicle at the corner of Gloucester Street and Second Street. She was taken into custody by police, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 3rd, 2015.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Justin Lascelle, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on October 20th, 2015 and charged with breaching two probation orders for failing to attend court and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on October 13th, 2015 and an investigation ensued. On October 20th, 2015 the man approached an officer at the Cornwall Courthouse to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Isaac Butler, 48 of Cambridge was arrested on October 20th, 2015 and charged with breaching two recognizances for failing to reside at a specified address, failing to remain within the provinces of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, failing to remain in his residence and failing to keep the peace. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop on October 20th, 2015, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREAK IN

(North Dundas) – On October 19, 2015 at approximately 9:29am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded a report break-in at a business on County Road 43, North Dundas Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime between October 16, 2015 – October 19, 2015 culprit(s) forcibly entered the business and removed a quantity of fuel and an industrial battery.

An investigation continues.

STOLEN CAR

(North Dundas) – On October 20, 2015 at approximately 11:57am, Stormont Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a vehicle being taken from a property on County Road 3, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that overnight (October 19-20, 2015) a  2003 Gold 4 door Mazda PDS (plate # BWAT 819) was stolen.

An investigation continues.

DRUGS SEIZED AT TRAFFIC STOP

(South Glengarry) – On October 20, 2015 at approximately 5:01pm, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer intercepted a vehicle on County Road 18, South Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected Methamphetamine and Hydromorphone.

The female driver, Brigitte MARTINSON (47) of North Glengarry Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance ( 2 counts)

The female passenger, Donna FORGET (43) of South Glengarry Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

– Resist Peace officer

Both were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on December 9, 2015.

UPDATE – OPP NEED PUBLIC’S HELP TO IDENTIFY POSSIBLE WITNESSES

(KEMPTVILLE, ON) – The Grenville County Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), under the direction of Detective Inspector Peter Donnelly of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), are continuing their investigation into the suspicious death of 27-year-old Deepak BEAUDOIN-REICHMANN, of Niagara Region, who was reported missing by family members on October 5, 2015.

As a result of information received through the investigation, officers are asking for the public’s help in identifying three males, who were seen driving a silver ½ ton pick-up truck with a full cap on the back, in the area the body was found, during the time Deepak was missing.

Officers launched an investigation shortly after 6:30 pm on October 14, 2015 when Beaudoin-Reichmann was discovered deceased in the area of County Road 18 and County Road 20 – east of Bishop Mills in North Grenville. The cause of death has yet to be determined.

Information collected through the investigation indicates that he was in the Ottawa area between October 5 through October 9, 2015. Anyone that may have information about his death or that may have seen Deepak anytime between October 5th and when he was found on Oct 14th, is asked to contact the Grenville County-Kemptville Detachment at 613-258-3441, OPP Communication Centre at 1-888-310-1122

Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [LEEDS COUNTY (Brockville)] SUSPICIOUS FIRE – RIDEAU LAKES 2015-10-20

(LEEDS, ON.) –   Officers of the Rideau Lakes Detachment of the O.P.P are continuing an investigation to determine the source of a residential fire on Highway 15 in Portland, Ontario.
On the 18th of October 2015 at about 7:00 pm Ontario Provincial Police officers located a residence fully engulfed in flames on Highway 15. Rideau Lake Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire.
It was determined that there were no occupants within the residence.
Rideau Lakes officers remain at the scene while the Ontario Fire Marshalls Office conducts their investigation.
As a result of an ongoing investigation, a 23 year old man, of no fixed address, has been charged with Breach of Probation, Uttering Threats, and Failing to Comply with a Prohibition Order, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear for bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division – Brockville on the 20th of October 2015.
Members of the Leeds County Crime Unit are continuing the investigation.
