OMESTIC INVESTIGATION/FAMILY DISPUTE
(North Dundas) – On April 5, 2016 at approximately 10:40am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Baker Road, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an adult female had entered the residence uninvited and assaulted her spouse who was visiting family members. The victim received minor injuries.
The 34-year-old female from North Dundas Township was arrested and is ch arged with;
– Break and Enter
– Assault with a Weapon (chair)
She was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (April 6, 2016).
Further in the day at approximately 4:16pm, SD&G OPP officers re-attended the above residence for a reported family dispute. Investigation revealed that an altercation had taken place between two male family members resulting in damage to property and assaults. One male became aggressive with officers. Both males (from North Dundas Township) were arrested.
A 33-year-old male is charged with;
– Assault Peace Officer
– Assault
– Mischief Under $5000
– Mischief (urinated on cell floor at detachment)
A 48-year-old male is charged with;
– Mischief Under $5000
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order
– Fail to Comply with Undertaking
Both were held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the On tario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (April 6, 2016).
The names of the accused involved in the above incidents are being withheld in order to protect the victims.
DRUGS SEIZED
(North Dundas) – On April 4, 2016 at approximately 4:19pm, SD&G OPP officers were conducting Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checks at the intersection of County Road 1 and County Road 43, North Dundas Township. A check of a vehicle resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana.
The adult male driver, Jonathan MCNEIL (31) of Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on May 10, 2016.
