Drug Bust on Meadowvale in Cornwall Ontario – Sister Charged After Scrap – APRIL 8, 2016

DRUG WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Cody Beauchamp, 23 and Michaela Leger, 21 both of Cornwall were arrested and charged as follows:

Cody Beauchamp

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession of cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Property obtained by Crime (cash)
  • Possession of Oxycodone
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking Oxycodone
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking marijuana
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon (brass knuckles).
  • Possession of Buprenorphine

Michaela Leger

  • Possession of cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Property obtained by Crime (cash)
  • Possession of Oxycodone
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of Marijuana

It is alleged on April 6th, 2016 members of the Cornwall Street Crime Unit executed a drug warrant at a Meadowvale Crescent address and located a quantity of cocaine, marijuana, oxycodone, methamphetamine, brass knuckles and a quantity of Canadian and US currency. Both Beauchamp and Leger were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

THEFT UNDER, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Lauzon, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on April 7th, 2016 and charged with theft under $5000, breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address and failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breaching a probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 30th, 2016 the man removed a cell phone that did not belong to him from a Ninth Street residence and police were contacted to investigate. On April 7th, 2016 the man was spotted by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 7th, 2016 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on April 7th, 2016 the woman punched and pulled her 27-year-old sisters hair and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 10th, 2016. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

REFUSAL

Cornwall, ON – Namasivayam Thuraisingam, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on April 7th, 2016 and charged with refusal. It is alleged on April 7th, 2016 the man was in care and control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Ninth Street and Sydney Street. The man failed to provide a sample of his breath to police and was taken into custody. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 21st, 2016.
