DOMESTIC – BREACH OF CONDITIONS
(North Glengarry) – On April 8, 2016 at approximately 4:54pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers intercepted a male youth on Dominion Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. The accused was in contravention of a condition imposed (non-communication order) from a previous incident.
The 14-year-old male from North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with Undertaking
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
(North Stormont) – On April 9, 2016 at approximately 4:14pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in North Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and his ex-girlfriend resulted in the female being assaulted. Further information revealed that over the past months, the accused had also breach a previously imposed condition several times (non-communication order).
The 44-year-old male from Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault – Spousal
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance (6 counts)
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
THREATS
(North Stormont) – On April 8, 2016 at approximately 1:54pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of threats incident at a commercial property in North Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an adult male had uttered threats to an employee.
The 21-year-old from Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Uttering Threats (2 counts)
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on June 16, 2016. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
BREAK-IN/THEFT
(South Stormont) – Between April 2-8, 2016, a residence located on Highway 138, South Stormont Township was forcibly entered. Inside, culprit(s) removed two (2) Jonsered chainsaws, tools and assorted clothing.
An investigation continues.
